Long Island Lutheran is a "normal" private school in New York. Due to the goofy nature of NY sports -- no state playoff -- LuHi doesn't have a postseason but is still considered a legit high school.

wait, NY doesn't have a state championship at all??? How many other states have that model??

New York used to have a state championship -- well, it was called the Federation Cup or something -- but it got cancelled during COVID and never returned. So they have NYC public and parochial playoffs, and maybe some others, but nothing that includes all the schools.

They're the only state I know of without some kind of state playoff.
