According to the Peninsula Athletic League's website, the delayed 2020 Little Big Game between ancient rivals Burlingame and San Mateo is scheduled for April 16 at the former's field. The game has been played since 1927 (with one exception in 1934). It is one of the oldest public school football rivalries in the Bay Area. All of this, however, is based on new state health guidelines and pandemic data from San Mateo County. If the metrics hold or improve, the 2021 Little Big Game is set for this coming November at San Mateo.

It should be noted that the PAL announced a new alignment 10 days ago but it has not been posted on the website. The six San Mateo Union High School District entries (including Burlingame and San Mateo) would play only among themselves. The remaining seven, sans Terra Nova and Jefferson (their district has opted not to participate), would play one another. The CCS commish has stated that schools could play games through April if they so choose. So a seven-game schedule would be possible.
