Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach (2016-2017 Season)
Stipend: $5,000
Season: November – March 31, Fall/Winter 2016/2017
Times: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm; Flexibility based upon school/season schedule

Duties:
· Coordinate with Strength and Conditioning coach a best practices off-season conditioning program for student/athletes;
· Plan, organize and coordinate game/practice schedules with coaches, athletic trainer and athletic director;
· Select, organize and maintain basketball equipment;
· Incorporate cutting-edge training/practice strategies using sound approaches to basketball, which result in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of each student;
· Provide strong leadership to student-athletes, reflecting core Lasallian values
· Plan, organize and transport team to away games in coordination with school transportation coordinator;
· Partner with facility department to ensure adherence to facility guidelines as well as proper maintenance of field;
· Establish effective and professional communications with student-athletes, parents, coaches and school staff, reflecting our school mission, values and strong academic culture.
· Work cooperatively and professionally with school staff
Preferences for the position:
· A Catholic, Lasallian educator and role model committed to the moral development of youth, preferred
· Classroom teacher, preferred
· Certifications – CPR/First Aid; NFHS coaching certification (CA mandatory)
· Education - College/University graduate
