sooner or later the coach need to be held responsible. I'm watching constantly we being out coached and see the wrong personal playing the game. I don't understand a freshman and bench player playing the full 4th quarter in tonight's game. I feel like the coach needs his player more than his lack of offense plays. Someone has to be accountable not the boys. Someone wake him up! These boys can play, just need some direction.

Also, Hollins didnt start. Did you notice that?

I wondered same thing about Hollins but for G-d's sakes, Darrell Barbour is a GREAT coach. Anyone questioning that is nuts.

Who did you suggest he have in?

Only negative I would note is that SH's #22 Ramzi Carter is an absolute disaster on offense. While he is a good defender, when he touches the ball he will miss the shot or turn it over every single time.

Gary Radnich is a class act as well. His daughter is a sophomore at SHC. Someone on another post said the loss was on Barbour?...I disagree, Barbour is a class act and he wins more than loses. I am sure there was a good reason why some personnel were out there and some were not. I don't always like Barbour's style but his results overall are hard to argue about either. Hollins played great, I also liked him slapping the back of an SI player after nailing a 3 pointer and getting fouled essentially saying, "Come on, it will take more than that to stop me." This is a true Old fashioned rivalry...The Bruce Mahoney is a tradition in SF if you went to one of the schools...throw all the records out...sure, each school wants to win, but in the end, as long as they represented with class and honor, that is all that matters and counts, the battle is never over and in some cases can switch sides. (some off spring end up at the rival schools where parents went to the other..lol)

Game was tremendous. Great effort overall by both teams. Can't ask for a better basketball game than to come down to the last couple seconds. Hollins should put in his memory banks for next year that no one from SI can stop him. 30 points in this atmosphere is phenomenal. He should go for 40 next year.

Carter tried to dunk it flying from way off the paint in one play and he almost made it!!!...I know in the end he didn't make it or should have just laid it in..but I can't fault his effort yesterday... I can say for a fact these games are extremely difficult to play in, most colleges don't have alumni and students of over 5,000 watching a game. For the most part, these are some of the best memories of any SH/SI student will have of their high school careers...they miss the Bruce Mahoney atmosphere!!! All the rivalry games are nail biters, and if you have a weak heart, don't watch. IamGearyblvd, don't forget Sheppard, he gave it his all too, as the only SHC senior, he played well.

Jamar played very well. I must say he's definitely a better basketball player than his dad was. Smith played good as well for a freshman.

Smith and Trammell will be a nice battle in the future....Trammell has great control of his body now and is so young he doesn't understand how well he played yet, or does. Smith has a lot of body english and in time he will be refined, he did play well though, freshman or not.

Looking forward to the Trammell-James Chun matchup this Fri @ The Crusader Forum. 2 promising players making their mark on varsity. Riordan also has a frosh pg starting on JV's this year in Chimae Ugbaja, Crusader alum Jiday's bro.

That will be a nice one to watch too...Trammell will have to have a better IQ than Chun in all the games...Trammell seems very mature...Chun is much bigger and seems a little more advanced, but that is why they play the games but should be a good entertainment:)

Scott, also looking forward to SHC's Smith and Chun matchup in a few weeks. The Crusader youngster got his Varsity welcome at the Jungle last night getting called for a "T" that should have been a no-call or double-T on both players. Lol!

I think Freshman Smith is lightening fast...he isn't as refined yet, he has too much body english probably because he is still growing but he definitely has talent, he will be a solid player soon enough. Sophs Chun and guys like Matt Redmond from SI play very controlled and play like seniors in lots of ways just more mature, but they are older too. Im not sure why Smith is starting? Is Mello not playing or injured or having problems? Im a supporter of him too, and want to see him shine. Could you imagine if SHC had Trevor Dunbar in 2011 as a freshman when SHC had Fox/Johns as juniors?? Having Dunbar feeding them the ball would have been fun to watch, no disrespect to Otis who wasn't a bad player either. Rumor had it that Dunbar would have ended up at SHC if the admin was faster about giving him a full scholarship but I don't know if that was made up...this is all hearsay now, so no point bringing it up..but it would have been to fun to watch. Quite possibly if Trevor was at SHC, two of Mittys WCAL championship would have only been one those years.

What game were you looking at? That's the thing, you looked at this game and got that? Really!

Scott, you are an embarrassment. Smith is "lightening" fast and has "too much body english". WTF does that mean?

FOOLBUTT, I don't think this discussion has anything to do with you...what does it mean?...Here is what it means...he is growing into his body, he is young....he doesn't seem as polished yet but that is understandable since he is the puppy of the team ..he is a freshman so that is what it means. I didn't say he wasn't talented, I said he will be there. STFU and go paint the front of the school at Reardan purple, they need volunteers, can't you tell? Of course not, you hate your own school too.
