Sac high beat oak Ridge 75-73 OT.
Huge game by Jacob Olson from OR. Unofficially 50! I think Ryan Anderson had 52 back in the day for the school record but I’m not 100% sure. Oak ridge has 4 football players on hoop roster. (3 of which are starters). They should be pretty solid once they get into form.

Offhand, the only guys I can remember that I saw score 50 in a game in-person are Eric Bamberger for Ygnacio Valley in that one magical season they had...

The other was Nigel Williams-Goss, playing in an Oregon vs Washington all-star event... He was in 7th grade, playing for Oregon's 8th-grade team. He carried them to a win over Washington's 8th-grade team.

Oh, wait... I watched Kevin Love score 55 with 20 rebounds for Lake Oswego once...

Honorable mention: I watched Jason Kidd score 49 once... That was quite a show... They were playing at St. Elizabeth, which typically had a pretty good team back then. Things were going badly for awhile, and the Pilots were down by about 10 early in the 2nd half and Kidd was at the free-throw line when some fan decided it was a good idea to leave his spot standing at the door and start running his mouth at Kidd, delaying the game for a few seconds...

Never ever EVER make Jason Kidd mad when he's on the floor! Kidd took the game over right then and there. He must have scored at least 30 after that incident and the Pilots won going away!

Olson tied Anderson's school record with 50.
Thanks for confirming.
Olson (on the scoring side) will put up big numbers this year. He’s a natural scorer with an endless motor. Nice player who should get some d2 looks.

OR roster even at full strength doesn’t have a lot of natural scorers. So, there is the game plan if you play them. They take on a talented Jesuit team next which will likely be a comfortable marauder win.

@kiddman32 , Jkidd 28-30 was also pre shot clock and he would stack that with 12 boards and 8 asst. Just the best complete player I’ve ever seen in Hs. I saw Gerald Walker but up 40 a couple times. Absolute freak.

50 is crazy and although sac high isn’t what they were back 10-15 years ago they still have lots of very good players.

The NCS games last night were Foundation Games, so they are just considered scrimmages. As nice of a road win that was for DLS at BOD’s new gym, it doesn’t count for much outside of bragging rights. It does confirm that they’re going to be a factor this season. The EBAL is just going to be a war.

Yes. I think they are a little more than scrimmages in terms of game atmosphere, but yeah don't count for much.

Interesting to note that I believe DLS has a good history against O'Dowd in these foundation games.

Huge upset tonight in the East Bay, as Cal High beats Granada 54-53 at the SRV Mark Madsen tourney. Cal’s only loss so far this year was in OT to BOD. It’s been said a few times on here, the EBAL is going to be a war. A bunch of really good squads but no juggernaut that looks like they can run the table with that many tough games.
