Reader Warning: the following Post is proof positive that the football season can't start soon enough.
Clearly this falls under the "Pull my finger-scratch my back" hueviendo categorization. But with less than 2 weeks away from Zero Week Kickoff I have a question for anybody else searching for the meaning of life on the 120 yards between the 2 goal posts. Sometime ago when updating my profile I noticed that somehow I had 113 "trophy points". With nothing but reruns on the TV and leftovers in the Fridge I dug a little deeper as to what trophy points signify and who has them.
Not sure how posters get them but it seems it doesn't matter if one has posted a brazillian times, closing on 17,000 posts a la the Streak(y) One or joined just after leather helmets were banned & padding instituted as has the posting Godfather, NorCalSports Fan (2001) we all max out at 113 trophy points.
Can we redeem these 113 points for 50 yard seats at a State Bowl Game? or a discounted food combo at the Friday nite schnack shack of the school of our choice? or maybe an opportunity to march out on the field with school marching band high steppers during the half time show?
Or as I suspect trophy points are simply NorCalPreps' Participation award for shooting it out numerous times with other keyboard cowboys........sorta like the time as an 8yr old I got blown out in the single elimination Cub Scout Pinewood Derby, 2 car races. My #1 fan, my Dad bragged the next day to anybody who would listen about how I took 2nd place in my heat. So win or lose I'm sitting on 113 Trophy Points .............and my boys haven't even kicked off yet .
