The Class of 2018 (Seniors) blitzed the class of 2019 (Juniors) 124-103 in the 8th annual Nor Cal Clash on Sunday afternoon at Contra Costa College.
Senior James Akinjo of Salesian High lead all scorers with 42 points, setting an all-time record in the Clash. He broke the previous record of 41 set by current Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon of Archbishop Mitty with 41 in 2012.
Seniors Jake Wojcik (Bellarmine) and Elias King (Jesuit) chipped in with 17 points each. King and Mason Forbes (Folsom) each had 12 rebounds for the class of 2018. Logan Johnson (St.Francis-Mountain View) had 5 assists to lead the seniors and all players in the game.
Junior Bryce Johnson of St. Mary's-Stockton lead his team with 22 points while Isaiah Hawthorne (Tracy) had 16. Jovon McClanahan (Salesian) and Jay Allen-Tovar (Valley Christian-San Jose) each had 8 rebounds for the class of 2019.
The all-time series now stands at 5-3 in favor of the Seniors.
