Jake Killingsworth gets fouled on a three with .6 seconds left and drains all 3 f/t's to put Padres up 2. Testa off the bench was huge for the Padres. Padres were up most of the 4th quarter but Witt scored 7 points in final minutes to give the Lancers the lead before the fouls shots. Lancers were 10 for 20 from the line.

The SF pressure that bothered Serra in the first two games was neutralized by some great backdoor cuts with assists coming from the high post. Thomas from SF was a ball hawk and made a number of steals, especially against the dribble. Witt from SF and Wohrer from Serra were only two in double figures. Great crowd, the atmosphere was electric.

Thx CityGame for the game results as no other info on game anywhere online/twitter.
Low scoring game which favored Serra after first 2 losses, but all came down to a fouled 3 with under 1-sec left - AND the shooter drains all 3! Classic! & sumthin he & Serra team will never forget.
Props Padres!!

Shout out to #4 for Lancers. After game ended and teams are being herded around for awards ceremony, he walks across the court and shakes hands of every Serra player. Class act, gotta love the WCAL.

I think Rapp left little doubt as to who is the best coach in the WCAL and has to be considered among the best in NorCal

Did Rapp guard anybody last night?

That's been said for year's as Rapp whether you like him or hate him makes the most use of whatever talent he has. This year was typical with Serra not picked as a favorite to win WCAL, but posters said Rapp always keep the Padres competitive.
I honestly didn't think Serra could win the Open with their line up, but for the first time in school history that is just what they did.
The other surprising team to many fans was SHP and they were the real deal as well.

It was a nice run, but they are gone in the first game if they are in the open. Mark my words.

You are quite the prognisticator, keep predicting the Padres will lose and yes they will eventually lose. Remember these quotes you made regarding Serra about three weeks ago, "good luck in a short lived CCS run!" or this one, "come playoff time all that extra shoving and hacking will be stopped and as well as their season lol!". I will say that at least you are conisistent in your hatred of Serra as well as your use of exclamation points. They obviously will be a low seed and will face a very tough opponent on the road. That's the down side of winning the section. If they had lost last night, they would have been a 2 or 3 seed in D2 and hosted a game. Will they win, odds will be against them but they will be ready to compete which is more than we can say for any of the PAL squads. You are so consistent in your hatred of Serra that it is apparent to all that you have an axe to grind when it comes to Rapp and the Padres.

good words city game. I was wondering when the dbag was going to come on and go with his hate for Serra. That 3rd place game for his monarchs must have been fun to watch. No matter what happens they proved a lot of people wrong. The only DI talent they have on their team is a freshman!

I'm sorry but yes I do have a hatred for Rapp only when he plays at home. That's the only time I had a problem with them. I gave them credit plenty of other times if you read posts on here. The fact is you guys act like Rapp just had a magic season with no talent! This Serra team doesnt have a D1 player but has alot of really good pieces. They have better shooters than any other team in the WCAL and their big man is underated but has a nice postgame with a soft touch and can hit the 10ft jumpshot. It wont be enough in the Norcal Open where Rapp hasnt had success at all. No help from
the Zebras in NorCals. This is a message board so I have a right to a opinion just like you do. Does not mean i'm right or wrong and vice versa. Glad to see I got under your skin. And as far as a dbag maybe next year at a game we can talk about that instead of behind a keyboard.

Considering Serra's schedule, Rapp gets more out of less than just about any coach in the Central Coast Section.

Though Coach Rapp is the type of person that could get under an opponent's fans skin, much respect goes out to how his teams are always in the hunt for the WCAL and Section title every year no matter who he trots out. Serra's teams do have have talent - not D1 Majors/Mids (how many teams really do?), but for a high school team their players overall are better than most.
Every season I look forward to seeing the Crusaders play in the Jungle seeing how Rapp storms the court during play and usually something wild and wacky occurs during the game. Good job Padres!
