Great Hs game. Folsom hates when teams can dictate pace. Plenty of mistakes by both teams. Serra had a 90 yard return called back and some turnovers also. I felt they were better team and would win again.

Double-wing. Don Markham ran it at Bloomington High (SoCal) in 1994 and set then-national scoring record of 880 points. Team was winless the season before. Serra and Bells ran it a lot in past.
They have run it for 20 years if you follow Serra football.
Ten years or so ago, Serra moved mainly to the spread, but sometimes switches to the double-wing -- such as in the state title game in 2017 against Cajon. Folsom, like Cajon, had problems stopping it.
It feels like Serra is one of the few teams who can employ multiple offensive systems within a game or season. It was a great plan to use it tonight

Yes. It really threw me off. They may have lost a lot but they still have a great o line and RB’s. Serra I’d going to be a load for anybody. I said if all week too. No big plays by Rico! He was fantastic but Serra contained him pretty well. He never ran free.
i also think Granite Bay and Oak Ridge Are going gaining on the Folsom gap. I don’t see Folsom going undefeated in league. One of those teams will is going to knock off Folsom this year. OR has the same type of size as Serra on the line. They don’t have the overall speed in the secondary but if they are playing smashmouth football I think they can be effective moving ball. Granite Bay has a lot of weapons back and a very good soph back who happens to have transferred away from Folsom.
I kept hearing about the Folsom & Serra QB's but this game really came down to both teams run game and defense.
Yeah they have equally if not better athletes all over the field. Plus they are so deep. Just a heck of a Game. I know some people love points but I’m tired of seeing blowouts. DLS will have there hands full.
Seems like Casey Taylor coached teams have struggled against Folsom even when the matchup appears even on paper
What players does Serra have in the secondary that are equal to the Flores kid? I saw Serra's QB playing CB.
I have no idea but they were all fast and athletic. They closed amazingly. I’m sure there are some d1 kids in that secondary. I wasn’t aware QB was playing D as well.
