Sheldon Huskies Opponent

You want to know about SC then type in USA Today Sierra Canyon in your browser. $38500 per year. That is competitive equity.

That has to be one of the dirtiest plays I’ve ever seen, and the fact that player wasn’t ejected just shows how big a joke the CIF refs truly are.

And to think if Bagley doesnt reclassify.... Theres nothing to do in Chatsworth. There are alot of horses though.

Explain your viewpoint and what was so dirty

From the highlights, it looked like two teams that did not respect the other. Lot of chirping and chippiness. Thats a recipe for unsportsmanlike actions. If you watched, the Etiwanda guy flipped him over after I guess he felt like the SC guy was a split second too long sitting on top of him.

I dont know the Pippen or Martin kids, but the apple does not fall far from the tree. Pippen is HOF, Martin a very decent NBA career, but two men personality/attitude-wise I probably dont want my kids to act like. They dont call him no-tippin scottie pippen for nothing and Kenyon Martin once told Jeremy Lin to stop trying to be black, in which Lin killed him with kindness.

I dont think Sheldon is going to be able to hang but we can hope a close/competitive game. .

Sheldon has mentally and physically TOUGH kids! They are fearless, which is a reflection of their coaches and supporters. They will not back down from anybody! I don't care how many pros Chino Hills has and how badly they are supposed to lose. I expect they will be in it to win it, and would not be surprised at all if they pull off the upset. In fact, the more chatter they hear about an inevitable win for Chino, the more that will motivate Sheldon. It will turn that chip on their shoulder they play with, into a boulder come tip-off. Shout out to H.E.A.T and Von... From an O'Dowd supporter, but Sheldon respecter!

They play Sierra Canyon not Chino Hills but I get / agree with your the general gist that Sheldon won't be anyone's b!tch! I was very impressed with their toughness / no nonsense approach to the game. Just because player X is some famous person's kid wouldn't mean a thing to me other than it's a bigger bulls-eye on their back / more motivation to take them down......

I think the mental toughness of Sheldon was what impressed me the most on Saturday too. There was a lot of questionable calls that went against them, but they hung tough and never stopped fighting. SC may have the superior talent, but Sheldon is deep and resilient and I hope that bring a title home for NorCal. Definitely not counting them out.

Sierra Canyon definitely has the superior individual talent but I would not bet against Coach Rollings and his boys. The heart they showed recovering from that loss to Modesto Christian in the section championship was amazing. Something special about this team.

From the video it looks like he flipped him at the end on purpose. He could have caught the player but instead you can see him purposely cause an even harder fall on the ground.

Not sure if the Refs had access to replay or not, but IF they did then they should be ashamed of themselves for not throwing that kid out. IF there was no replay review allowed, then I can completely understand the referee only assessing a technical.

I just think after looking at a replay, that type of play does not belong on the basketball court, and if you eject the player there it sends a warning that the crap will no longer be tolerated.

First, I don't think it was a dirty play. Stanley is cocky and arrogant so you can bet those Etiwanda kids had a chip on their shoulder. The kid goes airborne a lot and when you can jump sometimes the falls are bad.... He didn't take out his legs or push him. And guess what.... He's not hurt and will be playing against sheldon. Had to have that dramatic exit.

As for the 38k I doubt some of those kids are paying a dime. This school is well funded.
