SJS D1 Playoff Bracket

I probably say it every year but D1 is an absolute grind this year. So many good teams are capable of winning this thing. Not much diff from 1-7. That Inderkum vs Sheldon game in the QTR Finals should be a great one.
4, however for D1 if a Team is moved up to Open Division. Then the highest rated Quarterfinalist team will be added to the 4 count. If 2 teams go Open then add another team. So if that happens 6 teams can advance out of the D1 SJS Playoff Bracket. 4 to D1 and 2 to Open.
Some of the First-round games might Suprise some folks. Then the Quarter Finals round is a dog fight. Lincoln could be hosting Monterey Trail. Folsom could be hosting Vanden. I know Weston Ranch and Mountain House will not go down quietly and could create UPSETCITY.COM Gregori and Pitman are a lot better than many fans know about. I say, overall the toughest 1st round I can recall in the last 8 years
The highest ranked team in any Division moves up not just Division 1, so if say # 3 in D2 is the highest ranked team that loses in the quarters, and D-1 goes chalk, the D2 team advances
If a lower Division team is rated past the D1 Quarterfinalists they could be moved up to Open. Jesuit, Woodcreek and Christian Brothers have little to no chance of being moved up if they win their Section. While it can happen, it will not happen this year.
Yeah its going to be a war. I could see Oak Ridge beating Franklin. But that's an 8 vs 9 so not much of an upset. Besides that game I don't see any other shockers in the first round. The 2nd round becomes very interesting....

The higher seed will host the game until the Finals. Finals at Golden One.

8. Franklin Wildcats-77 -- 22-6, 3rd Delta League-loss tough final game versus Monterey Trail 62-55. Delta versus the SFL battle of Sacramento Douglas Blvd.
9. Oak Ridge Trojans-132-- 17-9, 4th Sierra Foothill League-already played Franklin twice splitting the contests. Now they play for a 3rd time.
5. Monterey Trail Mustangs-38 --23-5, 1st place ( Co-Champions with Sheldon) Delta League-Defeated Folsom and Cal-hi-Sports #23, very talented team!

wasn’t a coin toss. MT won by 3 . Sheldon won by 16. They used Max preps rankings, which should have nothing to do with determining league. Max prep standings has sheldon one and MT two like it should be.
I'm going from what Will Deboard said with Joe Davidson and Quinton Hamilton during the Sac-Joaquin section seeding show. You can watch that and tell them.
Vanden defeats Mountain House 64-42 and now will be matched up versus winner of Folsom/ Enochs
Kids are young ! They play 2-3 games daily in the summer.
I don't think that matters unless you have somebody who is resting a bad ankle and gets another day.

Yup WR went on a 14-4 run to win. Totally stole that game when Sheldon was up 49-42. Guess we can stop arguing about the coin toss.

For what? In D1 playoffs you can’t hide from games. You got to play. Rollings is going to play his schedule how he does. Hats off to WR, guys are scrappy.
I was really surprised about that WR game. They play sheldon 10 times and I'm betting Sheldon wins 8 or 9 of those. Just fell apart in that last 5 min.
As for the quarters....
MC by 20 over Franklin. Easy game for MC. #33 Rollins is a stud for Franklin though.
Lincoln by 12 over MT. I like Lincoln all around game and have usually been a tough playoff out.
Folsom cruises by a tough Vanden. Folsom is playing well and has too many weapons.
Inderkum by 15 over WR. Inderkum size and athleticism is incredible. Too long and big for WR over the course of a game.
I don't see any surprises in the QTR's.

Crusaders will be tested from The Wildcats and should be a good game. Gavin Sykes Senior Year is going to be tough to beat! I see this as a fast game, if our shooters hit, this could be a high scoring affair.

I think MT and Lincoln could go Overtime. Lincoln or MT wants another chance at MC. They defeated Folsom on 1/4.
Lincoln and Anthony Moore can get hot and take down any one at any time. I see Monterey Trail with the upset 66-65
Vanden can play with Folsom. I would imagine pressing the Bulldogs and making them set plays. Folsom shoots incredibly well from the arch. Folsom wants to show the Section their number 1. Bulldogs will hang on and SFL gets to the Semis.

Weston Ranch drives to the basket and put Sheldon in foul trouble. This team has played some talented teams and will not be intimidated by Inderkum.
The Cat fight is on. Tigers have the advantage at home.
