SJS Division I Playoffs: Sheldon beat Grant 75-72

Sheldon leads Grant 17-13 end Q1.

Sheldon got off to a good start but Grant was able to settle in.

Pretty good first round matchup with both teams looking to get out in transition

8-0 run for Sheldon makes it 25-16 Huskies with 5 mins left Q2

Sheldon leads 39-28 at the half.

Thought Spears was the best player for Sheldon. Defending Gomez well and made some plays on the offensive end

9-2 start in Q3 for Sheldon makes it 48-30 with 5 mins left Q3

And seven straight for Grant gets the Pacers back without shouting distance. 48-37

Sheldon leads Grant 58-46 end Q3.

Woodard provides some inside offense for the Hukies and doing a good job of moving without the ball to set up some easy buckets.

Hunter has provided some scoring punch for the Pacers

Grant scores the first five in Q4 and now trails 58-51 with 6:43 left

Sheldon leads 61-56 with 3:52 left

Sheldon up 68-61 with 1:54 left.

Woodard's 3 point play made it a 10 point lead but Gomez came down and made a three.

Grant not going away thanks to Hunter. Trail Sheldon 73-72 with less than 10 seconds left. Gomez knocked down the last three pointer

Singleton makes two free throws and a late second three from Hunter just passed half court doesn't go.

Sheldon wins 75-72. Singleton and Woodard both had at least 20 points for Sheldon. Hunter ahd 21 points for Grant.

Huskies are expected to play Rocklin on Friday in the quarterfinals with the Thunder up big on Lodi
