Skill, Size, Defense propels Gonzaga to Ship Game

Labels of Low Major, Mid Major, High Major are mostly relegated to Conference
affiliation. Conference affiliation determines for the most part if you are a High
Major program or not.

However, when it comes to College Basketball, your talent dictates your success,
regardless of what conference you play in, and your talent dictates your label.

Yes, Gonzaga plays in the West Coast Conference, however they have major talent
and are 37-1 and are headed to the National Championship Game.

This is great for college basketball and reiterates what Gonzaga has:

- Talent
- Shooting ability
- Size
- Depth
- Tremendous defense
- Length
- Skill
- Good coaching

Not sure what to label Gonzaga, but I can sum it up in one word:

GREAT

Zags are the best team and Oregon is the least fundamental team I've seen in a long time. Box out Jordan Bell. Oregon did everything to give that game to UNC and yet still almost won. Zags are too balanced and big. Its their time.

Yeah that was just horrible. Especially after he didn't even make contact with his guy the first time. The second time he made some contact, but made no attempt to actually keep his man from getting to the ball. I feel bad for Duck fans.

When one possession decides Final 4 games and National Championships, EVERYTHING matters and counts like FT's, Turnovers, Box Outs, Fouls
on 3 pt. shots, etc...

I think tomorrow night's Final of Gonzaga and North Carolina is simply going
to be an outstanding game with so much skill and IQ and size and shooting
on display.

Exactly what you want as a basketball fan.

The good thing is that most likely the 2 best teams are playing each other
tomorrow night.

Couldn't agree more. You can get away with that stuff in HS when you are a superior athlete but at this level everybody is big, tall, and can jump. Little things win titles. You have to do all of them and never take a play off. UNC made the right plays when it mattered the most.

If Jordan Mathews is on I really like the Zags chances. He will get open looks. What a smart move by him to get out of CAL and go to the Zags. He's been a really nice addition to that program.
