You see this is an example of people not being able to make sense of what you are trying to communicate. Are you referring to the incident where the coach was given a technical for having his chair on the court? Are you saying that this official is blowing the whistle in favor of SMS ( doing Salesian as in slang for doing them a number ) or doing the Salesian game ?. On line this becomes very tiresome. In person the questions can be asked and answered quickly. Now the disagreements might still be there but at least people will be certain what they are disagreeing about. In the same vain I have some other questions I would like to ask you that I am really confused about.

Of course your going to say that because your are on the other side of the calls. What you suppose to say your right!!!!!!!!!!

I too can never figure out what he is trying to say, but I believe he was blaming the refs for SMS dismantling of Salesian . I believe the score was 35-15 at halftime. Come on man.

All I was saying the one ref that came from the Brookside game was calling one way with bailout calls. That wasn't why they lost they can not convert their shots they had. The other thing Salesian made to many turnovers.

Consider this: Fans watch the game through fans' eyes, and what they see, over time, is that the officials are always biased against them. All fans see the games this way, which leads to a conundrum. If the refs are against both teams, as the fans of each team would suggest, then they really can't be for anyone, or making "bailout" calls.

Really, the refs don't care. Especially a ref who is doing for five games a day – all he or she is interested in is getting the game over, heading home, enjoying a cold one, and watching the Warriors put the hurt on somebody.

To put it another way, if refs are out to get certain teams, then they are always in favor of other teams. And I've never encountered a fan base that thinks the refs consistently call things in their favor.

Refs are a part of the game. But I will say I have as has everyone else who's seen enough games and not afraid to admit it seen a game or two where the ref(s) called a suspicious game or a few very suspect and questionable calls. That is why I always say you don't go out and just do enough to win. You go out and do "more than enough" to win so that you wrap the refs up in the ass kicking along with the team your playing, if you believe (even if your wrong)the ref(s) are cheating.

Paytc,

I agree with you. My thoughts, for the most part, I believe refs go into games with no bias. But to flat out say some refs aren't bias at times, and will not call the game as such, is not being truthful.
One reason why throughout the years, even when asked or suggested, I have chosen not to put on the uniform. I know wayyy to many players and coaches, and know at times relationships, good or bad, tend to come into play in the decisions people tend to make. It's human nature.
Are there bad refs who honestly just don't know the game? Yep. Will there be calls that each side believe were wrong? Of course. Once again, it's human nature for a coach, player, fan, etc. to want calls to go their way.
I have preached to my kids since the very beginning, no matter the sport, that it should NEVER come down to the refs. Play hard, execute, have a good attitude, leave it ALL on the court, field, mat, etc. and hopefully you will come out on the winning end.
On another note, HAPPY NEW YEAR to EVERYONE!!! May you all have a prosperous and blessed year! And may all these girls remain or get healthy, continue to work hard, be successful both in the classroom and on the court, and get whatever it is they desire from all the hard work they are putting in this season, and seasons to come!!!

so the ref that was sent to ref the game for $50 to make sure st Mary's beat Salesian by 25 instead of 22? And, the conspiracy was to bring the one ref from brookside to do it? You mean they could not get a fresh ref on the take?

They dont get paid $50 a game. The get whatever they give for that tournament $50 is the medium. When he came to Castro Valley to replace a ref for one game. He gave Pico a "T" mid way in the first Quarter. Then beginning 3 quarter through him for switching seats. The other would have to make calls for him when things happen right in front of him. But oh well the players passed and adjusted to win the game. Maybe he just a horrible ref but I know thats not the case!!!!!

SMS played a great game and Salesian couldn't convert the easy basketball. Salesian also made to many turnovers.

Okay $60 a game or whatever it is.

But you are not getting off the hook that easy respect. So he was sent to both games to cause the teams to lose? So, hypothetically because we know it is not true but if he was sent to make sure BC lost and he gave two t's to the coach, which I presume caused an ejection how did he not cause BC to lose? I mean if he was paid, on the take then how did BC still win?

Now, if his goal was to do these things against BC & Salesian (Both teams you wanted to win - go figure) then why did he not stick to the script and issue two technicals to the Salesian coach? He gave one to the BC coach for nothing in the first and moving seats later? I would assume it would have been just as easy to make something up in the salesian game.

I am going to counter that you are a whiny excuse maker that can't take it when your teams loses because it cant be their fault. The only time I have not heard excuses for a BC loss was the 50 pt loss to CW and the 60 pt loss to Miramonte.

For the record you picked SM Stockton 8th in the Nor Cal in the pre-season just in case you forgot. But I am sure they are exceeding your expectations because they all had to play a game, tournament or a season with the Mustangs and not that the staff at SMS can actually coach and get kids better.

What are you talking about. A gain you make my point. I said absolutely nothing about either the Salesian or BC games. All I said was that I didn't understand your post. I then added that if you wanted to get your point across you need to make things more understandable. It also seems obvious that either you do not read other peoples posts or you also have trouble understanding what others are saying in writing. My other point was that when you are face to face with someone it makes it easier to communicate. Some people just are not good with reading and writing. I for one do not equate a persons intelligence with how well they read or write, but damn it man if your not good at it make more of an effort.

I also wonder about changes in your communication style, skills and sometimes even the level of your intellect.. It often appears that there is more than on person posting. You see I have a good memory for such things. I remember quite a few posts from the past. Something appears to be rotten in Denmark.
