Tau Sanft’s third touchdown of the night, a 1-yard plunge with 1:35 remaining, gave host St. Francis a win as it overcame a 42-30 deficit with 4:01 to play.
The Lancers (7-1, 4-1 West Catholic Athletic League) trailed 28-10 in the second quarter before Lutoviko Ahoia’s 35-yard TD run closed out the first half.
Cyrus Habibi-Likio ran back the second-half kickoff 92 yards for a score and also ran for a 3-yard TD with 2:49 left to cut the deficit to 42-37. For Serra (4-4, 2-3), Leki Nunn ran for four TDs and Kelepi Lataimua scored on runs of 3 and 51 yards
