St. Mary’s defeats Grant for SJS D2 section crown

66-56. Both teams with much foul trouble. 2 Pacers fouled out, 1 Ram fouled out. Grant shot better from the FT line, but only 10% behind the arc. St. Mary’s was just terrible from the behind the line making less than 50% of their FT’s, but shot better than 50% overall and around 40% beyond the arc, and that was the difference in tonight’s game.

Surprised me. I had Grant winning the section. Was Whitney tougher than Grant? Not many people talk about them on this board but they always seem to be sneaky good. 23-7 this year and 28-5 last year. (section champs).
Bryce Johnson is a nice player for st mary's. really does a lot of good things.
