St. Mary's beats De La Salle in extra innings

St. Mary's-Stockton (3-4) scored three runs in the top of the eighth to beat De La Salle (0-1) 4-1. Tanner Grove gave up one hit and two walks over eight innings with 10 strikeouts. Minh Vu had a double and two RBI for the Rams.

De La Salle junior Graham Schlicht gave up two hits and a walk over five shutout innings with nine strikeouts.

DLS’s big question will be pitching this year…. Top Transfer from CVC USC commit Brandon Kleyman has not pitched well in the summer or fall, he throws very hard but is very wild….

DLS was missing 2 top players Alec Blair and Bubba Vargas in the game…. Lots of talent on DLS, Will have to see how the pitching evolves….
