St. Mary's uses big Q4 to beat Carmel

St. Mary's-Stockton was challenged by a scrappy Carmel squad but won the fourth quarter 19-8 to win 73-56.

The Rams got 31 points from Carson Simi, 23 points from Bryce Johnson and 16 points from Jamar Marshall. They had a huge advantage at the line going 29-for-35.

Carmel sophomore post JT Byrne played well in going up against Johnson. The Padres trailed 36-34 at halftime.

The Rams, who won the SJS D2 title, will host Serra on Friday.
