What becomes clear in these state bowl games is that teams can't win being one dimensional. Aquanis and Mack are running teams and have little to no passing attack. Won't work against good teams that have both.

What has become clear is there are to many “state champions” and forcing small schools like Mack, Aquinas, etc..... to play much larger schools is a joke.

Pacifica should have been matched with Central. SC with CV and Mack with Aquinas. These games have been terrible in terms of pairing in my opinion.

I dont understand why the CIF made Mack bump up 4 divisions. I can see moving them up from where they were, but this was quite a jump and clearly they missed the mark on this one. I realize they dominated their NorCal regional opponent but Manteca wasnt exactly a true test to show Mack was put in right division. The school never really faced a true challenge this season and was short sighted to place them so high.

I dont understand why the CIF made Mack bump up 4 divisions. I can see moving them up from where they were, but this was quite a jump and clearly they missed the mark on this one. Mack got the Socal treatment here. Both Central and CV played small schools. Heck Aquinas best defensive player was a 8th grader last year and their QB (sophomore) was also their starting LB! CV squeaked out a win against what would be a JV squad for most large schools, and get recognized as a state champ? Sorry that make’s CA football look pathetic, let them celebrate if need be but best to pretend that didn’t happen.
