Streak,
I think you shut down one of the best dialogues I have heard in awhile.
It did not get to the level of bashing and was full of reasonable thoughts.
You have let far far worse go on, at some of the other boards. I think you should have given some leeway to the thread. Just my personal thoughts

Here's wishing you great hoops

In my opinion, it had veered away from high school sports and into a look at society. A good discussion for sure, but not something I see a place for on here.

However, I am always willing to listen to posters and how we can make this the best community.

Anyone is free to message me on here or email me at norcalpreps@yahoo.com

I completely agree. The conversation was around high school girls coaches. It was so good that it made people uncomfortable because the opinions didn’t fit the controllers narrative. Many great opinions shared. Imagine how much more in sports we could learn from each other if we were allowed. I admired the varying opinions on the coaches. It’s weird seeing speech shut down in the Bay Area over a great discussion. Reminds me of a Red state.

Again, I am open to having a discussion about this, but it isn't going to be on a thread

I agree the conversation was illuminating and important, even if I disagreed with much of what was written. I feel the opinions stated were respectful and certainly pertained to the culture of coaching Girl's basketball. Even us old white guys should be open to hearing differing ideas and other's experiences.
So what did you learn? Minorities or AA or black people?

I definitely learned some stuff but it might be speculation on my part so I won't even go there.
