Nevada quarterback Carson Strong (Wood) is the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Year

San Jose State defensive lineman Cade Hall (Bellarmine) is the Defensive Player of the Year.

There were a lot of NorCal players on the First Teams too

One could make a case for Kyle Harmon as Defensive player of the year. I expect to see Doubs and Turner playing in the league, possibly Gaither and Rivers as well. What are your thoughts regarding Haener being second team instead of Starkel?

The Haener/Starkel one is tough. Very similar years though Starkel has had more help but has done it in more meaningful games. All-League/All-Conference teams also have a way of trying to share the wealth among teams so this might have come into play too.

Good points Streak, Haener's offensive line is downright wretched IMO and I'm hoping he doesn't get killed. I know all too well how a team's record affects how many all conference players are selected. That's why I'm happy my kid made second team all big sky twice despite Cal Poly's losing records.

Jackson Snyder from Marin Catholic first team ALL MWC at OT ....hes had a very nice career at SJSU
