As the season winds down, and schools/programs look to reshuffle, what are the coaching jobs that are open or will open up? Only two I've heard of are Arroyo, Monte Vista, and maybe San Ramon. Any other jobs out there?

I was just thinking about how to let people know, and this is a perfect opportunity -- I'm not going to return to Bentley as head coach (or assistant athletic director) next year. I'll be 68 next week, and I'm ready to be an assistant again.

I don't know of any other changes in the BCL-East at this point.

Clay are you serious? An assistant.......You would make a good addition to any team. You did an awesome job helping my daughter's game when she was in the 5th grade.

I would welcome your help again. I doubt you'll be looking for long.

Thanks Paytc ... your daughter was a pleasure to coach, and a really good player as well.

you were a great nuts-and-bolts guy for my daughter when you were Casey's assistant. your glass is half full--more time 1:1 w kids and skills, fewer administrative tasks. hold out for Warriors season tickets as part of the package.

Thanks ... mkbgdns' daughter was a very good player, but she also was a victim of the ACL plague. She could shoot it and she loved to play.

Mike Chiarella has stepped down at Hillsdale in San Mateo. I also read that Prospect in Saratoga is open.

Randy Duck has resigned at San Ramon; Al Chavira has been hired at Amador Valley.

Duck lasted 1 year, as did the previous coach who moved up from Arizona. SRV will now be on their 4th coach in 4 years next season.

I also saw that Gunn has an opening. Didn't the lady from San Ramon take a job at St. Mary's college? Can't blame her for bouncing for a college job. From what I remember she did pretty well that one year at San Ramon.

Any word on who's next in line for the SMB job? That could be a great job, but would probably need someone with ties to AAU in order to compete with Salesian.

Actually, the Dublin coach took the St. Mary's job; the woman at San Ramon shifted her teaching job to Cal High and thus didn't want to coach at San Ramon any more.

I heard that Sam Sims didn't finish the season out at SMB -- does anyone know if that's true, and if so, who coached the team down the stretch?

He did not coach in the section game vs Cardinal Newman. His assistant (tall female) coached the game. I asked one of the other assistants where the coach was and he said he was called in to his work for an emergency. Honestly I didn't really believe the excuse, but then again I certainly didn't know for certain one way or the other to make a judgment on it. So I never gave it another thought.

I think Kelly Sopak will stay at Miramonte.

Bill Powers has taken over at Monte Vista.

SMB is open, I'm pretty sure.

Other thread has Dan Middleton out at Northgate -- any confirmation?
