Think D4 is Bad, Look @ D5....

Not sure what the CIF's logic is having these squads, logically ranked 73rd through 88th in NorCal, even playing at this point in the season. Urban should dominate here, and they lost in the D5 NCS Semis, let alone 4th of their (admittedly strong) 6 team league.....The final in this bracket will be so exciting at Golden 1, while none of these teams would likely give any of those in the other 6 State Finalists any kind of matchup....Mediocrity settles in...

So then the NorCal shouldn't have any representative in these lower divisions? Now these teams are largely made up of PUBLIC SCHOOLS, which don't have many if any D-1 prospects? But I disagree with the notion that these smaller division schools shouldn't be given an opportunity, this is what makes this HIGH SCHOOL MARCH MADNESS great!! I understand the SoCal teams are better, but how many of those smaller division SoCal teams "private schools" that bring in STUDS for the purpose of winning titles!!

I'm saying that these teams aren't worthy of going far enough to be considered "State Champs". Harsh, I know....but almost all of these squads are mediocre at best....Comparable to giving Participation Trophies....
