Good list..Not sure who to take off but I think Elk Grove could actually win the delta this year... and Burbank w/ the city’s potential Player of the Year Tyree Gill will definitely be a team to watch.

Technically, Fairfield is not the Bay Area. But I am sure Fairfield realtors would disagree. Lol! Either way, Vanden will be very good this season and one of the top teams in NorCal.

What's the story on Antelope? Three of their top five scorers graduated.

For Rocklin, Steve Taylor will keep them competitive, but didn't they graduate a pretty solid class?

I agree with everyone else on the list.

Another good list. Moreau Catholic was already mentioned and I would throw St. Francis in there too. Now finding which team to take out will be the issue

Where would you put Fairfield? We are left out of Sacramento and "technically" not Bay Area. So where would we fall at...Bay Area, Sacramento ?

Anthony Sierras (Antelope) and family moved out of state. I don't see Antelope being very good this year. The kid Majer Sullivan should have a big season.

Good question. That’s why I added out of area to recognize teams like Vanden, Weston Ranch and Modesto Christian as they should all be strong this season.

I like it.

Sacramento will claim Vanden. Grant and Vanden are like family, except for when we play each other :)
Thats the thing.. Fairfield wants to be Bay Area so bad though. But most say they grew up in Oakland or San Francisco anyway.

Well we know the rankings always lean more in favor of the Bay teams so just by being considered a Bay team that would increase their overall ranking by three or four spots.

Strong list. I think I would have Inderkum in there. They had a strong season and are on the rise and I also wouldn't leave Woodcreek out either. There are a few other teams I think may not be top 10 yet but are on the rise or close:
Cosumnes Oaks
Elk Grove
Jesuit (Even with the loss of Isa)

And give us some time but my boys at Fortune School will be there.

Elk Grove is definitely a top 6-8 team if they return everyone.

I like Fortune a lot, I think they are about a year away from making some serious noise.

Cosumnes yes. Inderkum maybe next year. Woodcreek not sure.

The good thing about Woodcreek, Antelope and Inderkum is they are all in the same league so we'll get to see. All those coaches are cold. I just always gotta respect the coach who has a state championship under his belt.

I think Capital will be good again. They don't have much size, but the guard/wing play is really good

What's the background at Fortune School? How long have they been open?

Fortune has to play a better schedule. And those twins stopped growing.

i agree 100%. But I wouldn't be surprised if they make a small run this year.

Woodcreek will struggle. It will be interesting to see how the new school West Park impacts their athletics.

Fortune Early College High School is new charter school in Elk Grove. This is our 4th year for the high school and last year was the first full varsity season for our sports however with it being the first year we were in our probationary period. This year is our first year as full CIF members so we will compete for playoffs and everything.
Coach Swafford, former head coach at Sac High, is the athletic director and has been building things up for the last few years.
