Good list.
You guys better watch pondo. They just gave Folsom there worse loss in 5 years. Not a team I would take lightly.

Would be good to see Pondo play teams like Grant, Inderkum l, Sheldon and Modesto Christian in non- league. Nice win 🏅 over Folsom tonight

That’s a big ask. This is a group that has played together for a long time. Sort of a throwback type Hs team where kids went to grade and middle school together growing up. I’ve seen a fair number of the better teams play and i def like them over grant but inderkum size and athleticism would be problematic and Sheldon/MC are a Tier above.
Curious to see how the big kids recruiting picks up. I think he’s young so might be a prep school type route. He had 20-24-10 (blocks) against Folsom. Might be one of the most dominant performances I’ve seen by a big kid.
At d3 level they Are a State Champ caliber team. D2 would be very tough.

Bay Area -

1) Campo --> Would be stunned if they lost a game to a Bay Area team this season
2) De La Salle --> Only loss to Campo......Gritty team.
3) Mitty --> Deserves to be this high. They are smoking Bay Area teams and only lost to AZ team Brophy Prep
4) Bellarmine --> Huge Win over Sacred Heart Prep...Non-League schedule is very short.
5) SHP Atherton --> First loss to Bellarmine.....Team is good
6) Serra
7) Riordan
8) Salesian
9) St. Ignatius
10) Dublin

Considered: Oakland Tech, Dougherty Valley, Los Altos, Miramonte, St Patrick-St Vincent, San Ramon Valley, Archie Williams

This would be my list. The WCAL well represented as always.

8-0 Northgate should be considered, with a win over SRV on the Wolves’ home floor. Clayton Valley Charter also belongs under consideration. While I don’t think either will beat Campo, the Diablo-Foothill league with those 3 teams and Miramonte will have some battles.

I’m not sold on Mitty that high. Strength of schedule is pretty weak. Yes they lost to a tough brophy team by 20. The same brophy team that only beat st pat-st vins by 9 and Jesuit by 12. I wanted to see Mitty at Gridley vs the top Norcals to get that Nod, or some good wins early. They have done neither so far.

I’m not that sold on Mitty either. I was at that brophy game and they were absolutely manhandled. Brophy is a very good team but a pretty average Jesuit team hung with them better.

I don't usually weigh in on midseason top 10 lists, but here goes...

FYI, I considered the Fresno area for a bit, and decided not to go with it for the purposes of this list. Otherwise, 14-0 Clovis West would be listed VERY high, maybe even #2. Clovis North might get consideration, too.

All NorCal
1) My fabulous Campolindo Cougars (a totally unbiased choice, btw) :)
2) DLS
3) Modesto Christian (could get a big boost from at least a couple transfers when eligible)
4) St. Ignatius (Drilled a previously unbeaten Miramonte badly)
5) Bellarmine
6) Sacred Heart Prep-Atherton
7) Ponderosa (Yup, they're this good... Biggest question, if Aaron Bliss gets in foul trouble, do they have an answer? They have little other size that I can see)
8) Northgate (Overall sked so far is a bit suspect, but they do have a couple nice wins over SRV and Piedmont. The in-league battles with Campo should be epic!)
9) Inderkum
10) Dougherty Valley

Honorable mention, in no order: Miramonte, Riordan, Dublin, SRV, Granada

Of these, the only ones I haven't laid eyes on in-person yet this season are Modesto Christian and Northgate... And I did see MC in scrimmages. :)

Next week's Modesto Christian tournament promises a truly outstanding final if all goes to form and y'all get MC vs. Clovis West for the chip...

No Sheldon in your top 10?

Oops, forgot about them... They do belong.

10) Inderkum

And that moves Dougherty to my honorable-mention list.

Thought of a couple others to add, but I don't wanna go naming everyone or else it would be a "semi-honorable mention list. :)

Oakland high and st pats shouldn’t be in the top 10. Not even close.

After the reshuffled bracket at Torrey Pines, three DFAL teams are in a tough top bracket. Should be fun down here seeing Northgate, CVC, and my Campo Cougars taking on some excellent competition. Top 10 will certainly be affected one way or another.

Why do people keep listing vanden? They are 1-7. They have talent but no business being on any top team list.
So looking back at this comment...Vanden just won league they went 9-1 and 15-12 overall. Strength of schedule is 15.5. I'd say they sure do belong where they were put. 1-7 was preseason... Vanden and a many other teams "looked" VERY different when league started. They started to gel, and the chemistry came together.
