Don't tell me there are so few that it really doesn't affect anyone.

This transgender athlete is the STATE LEADER IN THE HIGH JUMP AND TRIPLE JUMP.

Trans athlete Hernandez won the River Valley League championships in the triple, long and high jumps....won the triple jump by SEVEN FEET...the long jump by THREE FEET...and the high jump by a FOOT.

At some point, the insanity in California will have to end. This is perhaps the best example yet of the gross unfairness loose in the Golden State. Women's rights groups and Title 9 supporters should be up in arms. And the media ought to be sounding the alarm big-time.

Taking a radical view on this tender subject, maybe it would be beneficial if this biological boy does capture one or two CIF female state track and field titles. Then the outcry over the blatant unfairness inherent in this matter would become even bigger news. The state Legislature and the CIF would be fully exposed for their dereliction of duty. They would become a national point of criticism for their hypocrisy.

Tuesday's CIF announcement that girls previously eliminated from track and field competition by a biological male will be permitted to return to the state finals this week is a tacit admission that the CIF's transgender policy is unfair, bogus and anti-female in the extreme. It's a blatant farce that merely highlights a ridiculous situation that is fast becoming a national laughing stock.

I think this week's decision is just about the best temporary move they could make... But they'll need to figure out something permanent... I have zero idea what that would be.

They could 1) ban transgender athletes completely. Best solution for all the other competitors, but what about said transgender athlete? Completely unfair to her... Can't really force her into the boys' competitions... So what does she do, take up some non-atlhetic thing?

They could 2) make a separate division for transgender only, but how many transgender athletes are there in high schools? I'm guessing extremely few. A transgender girl likely wouldn't be tested, since there are so few participants.

They could 3) Allow them to compete against girls. Not fair to the girls in the least. And there's no way to determine any sort of handicap system, so that is not good, looks like a copout...

They could 4) Allow them to compete against girls, and give separate awards for transgender and full-female. Might be the best overall solution, but it's basically "competitive equity" and almost nobody would be satisfied, considering how unpopular CE among fans on this forum.

Some of these ideas have a little bit of merit, sort of... but have MANY flaws.

I'm at a loss... Any other ideas?

Again...I have no problem at all with how someone identifies. Dress how u want, go by whatever pronoun u want, call yourself whatever name u want, marry who u want etc...

But geezuz christ...IF U HAVE A PENIS U CANT PARTICPATE IN A GIRLS COMPETITION!!!

WHY TF is this so difficult????

The effing leaders in the CIF and Government are COWARDS!

We all know what the right decision is..why is it so hard to make that decision?

The TG athlete gets to compete, no one is telling the TG he/she cant...just has to do it against other humans with a penis.

Geezuz frign christ...Im at a loss for words on this...

So CIF adjusted their rules so if a female is beaten by a male they get to go to state where the male can humiliate them again. Plus if they are in a locker room the female gets to see male parts. Such wisdom. They say it is to provide all students with an opportunity to compete. How about just make the male stay in his lane.

Women put on pink hats and took to the streets for abortion rights. They picked up signs and went to the streets to protest current politics. And yet dead silence on protecting their daughters from being exposed to men. It is not just about the competition.

Correct. Let's call it the "Twig & Berries Protocol." Or TBP. We'll leave it at that. Over and out,

My son says there should be two dvisions. One for girls and one for any athlete who wants to compete including girls. there are already gilrs competing in hgih school baseball. and college baseball. So if you are a male and want to compete in sporsts, you czn always compete with other males even though you changed your sex.

Penisis can be removed. Also, penis doesn't equal athletic ability

You know what..EFF It! People gonna argue this craziness? Then let's just do this...

1 team period.

1 football team..
1 basketball team..
1 track team...
I Lacrosse team...
1 swim team...
1 baseball team...
1 softball team...

EVERY IDENTIFIED SEX/PRONOUN OR WHATEVER competes against EVERYBODY.
1 event/game and no longer separate at all.

The only fair way... 🤷

No longer boys or girls teams...

1 HUMAN TEAM..

I'M OUT...

I think this isn't as big of an issue as some make it out to be (in terms of numbers) BUT it is also something that needs to be fixed becuase allowing it to happen when it has in the past isn't the right answer.

In the same way that it isn't a big number of TG athletes who compete, it also wouldn't be a big number of TG athletes who couldn't compete if they were banned. It can cut both ways.

And once we solve this issue, lets move on to 19.5 year old competing in high school too :)
