Well it appear we've had quite a bit to be thankful for as girls basketball talent in Norcal. National exposure has produced top teams and individuals that have moved on to D1 programs. In the last two years two teams in particular have produced young ladies that have excelled on and off the court and have moved on to D1 scholarships.

St Marys Stockton:
Kat Tudor- Oregon State
Mi'Cole Cayton- UC Berkley
Naje Murray- San Diego State
Ariel Johnson- Florida
Aquira Decosta_ Baylor
Raziya Potter- San Jose State
Neenah Johnson- Princeton

Archbishop Mitty:
Maddy Holland-St Marys
Tahlia Garza- UC Irvine
Danielle Gugliemo- UC Irvine
Heleyna Hill- San Jose State
Karizma Ortiz- Penn State
Nicole Blakes- Univ San Diego

nice run for both programs over the last two+ years. We have been fortunate to watch some good basketball here in Norcal.

There are more with close to as many: Sacramento, Cardinal Newman, Salesian, Bishop O'Dowd and others I'm forgetting this early in the morning. But here's Miramonte's list:

Sabrina Ionescu - Oregon
Keana Delos Santos - Utah Valley State
Uriah Howard - Eastern Washington
Elle Louie - Dartmouth
Clair Steele - Lehigh
Jordan Bryant (D1 offers - but chose track ) - SDSU
Ayla Elam - Yale (Attending prep school this year)
Stephanie Golden -- Gonzaga
Janine Loutzenheizer -- Rider

he said 2 years. Your point is valid and it is an impressive list Clay, but that spans more than 2 years.

It does ... my error. Take Golden and Loutzenheizer off.

And sabrina.. and delos santos.. they are both in their 3rd year of college... if we are being technical..

Technically, the title of the thread was:
“Two programs that have produced D1 talent in last three years”

Tudor and Cayton in the 3rd year as well. I'm sure there are a number a schools that have produced D1 players. All three appear to have had 6 or 7 in the three year span. Mitty 0-1 in Open Championships, Miramonte 0-1 and SM Stockton 0-0 have not made one in that span. Pinewood in that span is 0-1 and they have 2 this year. So maybe it is talent coming in and lack of coaching? Cool Pt bPT, JazzPt will comment on this.

We've had a nice group of kids the last few years and a few D2 full rides in the mix, but D1 over 3 years would be:

Megan Anderson SJSU
Danae Marquez SJSU
Sarah Bates Kansas St
Bre'yanna Sanders Arizona St
Tess Amundsen Boise St
Madison Campbell USC
Champney Pulliam Idaho

I will repeat this again. We have been fortunate to see players and teams that have prominently captured the spotlight in the national scene. I would venture to guess that once Haley Jones, Hannah Jump, Angel Jackson, Charisma Osbourne and Madison Campbell graduate we may not see this many top level players or teams for quite some time.
