All I want is Vacaville to play hard and give 100% of effort like they did in the fourth quarter of the game at Enterprise. I always love that Vacaville is, most of the time, the underdog against these powerhouse teams. One of the posters on here @G61 promises that Vacaville will get blown out in this one. Im sure if they don't limit the turnovers and they don't improve their defense they won't have a chance to compete. Its good that Vacaville has this tough non-league schedule because it let's them know at what level are they at in each season.

DEFENSE..DEFENSE..DEFENSE!!!

GO VACAVILLE BULLDOGS!!!

Did GB get their Starting QB back from Collarbone injury? How is the GB back up Qb Like? How is GB's Linemen like? GB had a close game with Consumnes Oaks. Wut is Vacaville Defense like besides poor passing Defense? Will they switch to a passing Defense.

I don't know about the QB situation at Granite Bay, all I know is that he got hurt almost two weeks ago and GB had a bye week last weekend so I'm not sure if he will be ready for Vacaville on Friday.

About Vacavilles defense I can tell you that they have been playing bad on both rushing and passing defense. Against Oak Ridge the rush defense looked pretty bad and against Enterprise their pass defense also looked bad, but I must say that in the fourth quarter they played good pass and rush defense as they toughened up on Enterprise outscoring them 22-10 in that last quarter.

I haven't seen Vaca play yet this year, and was planning to go out to Pittsburg to watch the Bulldogs and Pirates. What kind of team does Vaca have this year? I'm aware they lost a tough one at home to a good Oak Ridge team and have another tough game versus Granite Bay. Tough preseason schedule.

Enterprise runs the shotgun no huddle spread offense. Running plays are of the read variety. When they are balanced as they have been the last few seasons they are tough. They are not any where near what they have been, this season on both sides of the ball. They lost a lot of talent to graduation. The play is called from the coach once the Defense aligns.

They lost a lot of players to graduation, their defense hasn't been good. And yes they have a tough preseason schedule which is good. It's tough to watch them do really bad but it's better than watching them blow out some really low ranked bad teams like they used to about 6 or 7 years ago.
You should go watch the Pittsburg vs Vacaville game. Vacaville does have a good Running Back in Daniel Wright he's really good, I've seen him play in last year's JV team and I was amazed by his ability to juke defenders and avoid tackles, I'm just waiting to see more of what I saw from him last year at JV transition to the Varsity level this season. He is very fast too.

@ Dan12Kings....Pitt runs the "Spread" and I believe they did well in their Jamboree! How good is Granite Bay and the teams they faced so far?

Oak Ridge is really good, Enterprise was more at the level of Vacaville, Granite Bay is a allways a tough team with, and I heard that they got really good defense this year. Pittsburg is highly ranked in the NCS. Vacaville has a very tough schedule this season and considering they are not as strong as past seasons due to loosing a lot to graduation going 2-3 in the non-league part of the season isn't too bad. But I would love them to upset either Granite Bay or Pittsburg.

Dan12Kings,
Pray hard for this game. You are going to need it.

Granite Bay will beat you handily.

Thats why im saying at best Vacaville will come out of nonleague at 2-3, as most likely they'll loose to Granite Bay and Pittsburg. And beat Berkeley. Im not ruling out a chance for an upset tho, that's why they play the games no matter if one is super better than the other. I never believe a game is over until it's over.

Vacaville? LOL, that would be unfair to them! Let's be nice hecanfoos

I agree. I hope the game is competitive to be honest.

Wow amazing pass from Vacaville 1yrd line, 95 yrds

Daniel Wright scores on the next play. Vacaville 7-0

Coach Pop pulls an Andy Reid move 25 seconds before halftime and he goes for it instead of kneeling for halftime, Vacaville fumbles GB Recovers and a couple of plays later GB capitalized on the huge Coaching mistake. That's what happens when you get. greedy, terrible mistake, I take a 14-7 deficit at halftime against a powerhouse GB team any time and considering that Vacaville is getting the ball in second half. I can't believe it now they are down 21-7 at the half.

Vacaville fumbles again one play after the second half kickoff, Vacaville beating themselves

@G61 it was a close game with 25seconds remaining in the half but after a huge coaching mistake the game got out of hand, Vacaville is really beating themselves in this one, can't do that against a powerhouse team that can capitalize on turnovers.

Turnovers cant do that, cone on Vacaville, GB in my opinion hasn't played that good. They got 21 points off fumbles and interception

This game closer than what the score says, it just snowballed for Vacaville with fumble after fumble after fumble

Hard loss for Vacaville when I know they had enough to compete until some mistakes and add to that a coaching mistake right before halftime when with less than 2 minutes to play the game was 7-7 tied. Then Vacaville threw an interception instead of running the clock out, GB scored a couple plays later which put the game at 14-7 with 28 seconds left, Vacaville coaches decided not to kneel the ball to go into halftime and Vacaville fumbled GB recovered then two plays with later scored to make the game 21-7 at halftime, that coaching mistake completely turned the game around as in the second half the game got out of hand with Vacaville continuing to fumble on multiple occasions giving GB very short fields and easy TDs.

I thought this was pretty even, but Granite Bay is for real. Good first year under Jeff Evans even if this was considered a rebuilding year.

Bulldogs are 0-2 against the SFL.

Saw the highlights on TV and one thing is for sure, Vacaville wins the battle for the worst facilities! Schools like Center, Highland and Luther Burbank all making Vacaville look like a throwback to the 60's. I like grass, but even their grass looked bad!

@G61 where is your beating handily?????????? Are you actually here watching the game????
42-7 sounds VERY handily to me!

As I said before, the teams up here are on another level. I also caught the highlights. I didn't need to go watch a beating like that. I too, was surprised at the facilities in Vacaville. This is 2015, not 1975. You should head east and see what nice, modern facilities look like. Is there no money in Vacaville!?

I made that statement when the game was 21-7 at halftime and for your information it was a great first half to watch, if it wasn't for the coaches getting greedy it could have easily been 7-7 at the half but instead of running out the clock with about two minutes left Vacaville tried passing the ball, but oh well that's what they get for poor clock management.

And about football field, who knows why they don't want to change to turf. And no need to tell me about nice stadiums, you should go see the Napa Stadium its the best one in Northern California, the BEST! don't believe me look it up on Google.

Napa plays at Memorial Stadium. That is not the exclusive high school field.

As I said, come up to the foothills, just east of you to see some real football facilities...

Whole other ball game up here...

Your record against the Sierra Foothill League:
Loss to Oak Ridge: 43-13
Loss to Granite Bay: 42-7

And you haven't even played the best team in that league yet. Wow...

I been almost everywhere @G61 I'm telling you no need to tell me about nice facilities, trust me I live in Sacramento and I have been in a lot of stadiums/facilities.

You have been to all the SFL schools? Folsom, Del Oro, etc...?

Del Oro (3 times), Rocklin(played soccer with friends, on some sundays, there at their field), Folsom(3 times) Granite Bay(too many times), Oak Ridge(3 times) other non SFL Stadiums, WCAL Valley Christian is second best stadium after Napa because it has the best view of all high school football stadiums I've been too. Enterprise Stadium, Marin Catholic Stadium, Nevada Union is pretty nice, Buhach Colony stadium, St. Mary's-Stockton(I had the privilege to be part of the chain gang thanks to Bulldogmgc and it was a playoff game against Del Oro). Also been to Lincoln-Stockton stadium, Rodriguez, Fairfield, Armijo, Elk Grove, Cosumnes Oaks, Laguna Creek, Grant Stadium(4 times) Rio Linda, do you want me to keep naming stadiums I've been too??????
