Blue turf is nice!Del Oro (3 times), Rocklin(played soccer with friends, on some sundays, there at their field), Folsom(3 times) Granite Bay(too many times), Oak Ridge(3 times) other non SFL Stadiums, WCAL Valley Christian is second best stadium after Napa because it has the best view of all high school football stadiums I've been too. Enterprise Stadium, Marin Catholic Stadium, Nevada Union is pretty nice, Buhach Colony stadium, St. Mary's-Stockton(I had the privilege to be part of the chain gang thanks to Bulldogmgc and it was a playoff game against Del Oro). Also been to Lincoln-Stockton stadium, Rodriguez, Fairfield, Armijo, Elk Grove, Cosumnes Oaks, Laguna Creek, Grant Stadium(4 times) Rio Linda, do you want me to keep naming stadiums I've been too??????
Besides, all of our SFL schools would SMOKE both Napa schools lol
LOL, you sound like a little kid! Talking about records from TWO YEARS AGO!?Man you sound like a kid from high school. Who eliminated two from the SFL in D2 playoffs the last two years? Vacaville eliminated Rocklin and last year they Eliminated Del Oro, what's Vacaville record vs Granite Bay??? They are almost even in the last 10+ yrs with Granite Bay only having one more win.
No, they cannot. SFL schools and the area in general is on a whole other level. Not even a comparison. Most of our JV teams could beat some of your league teams.Yeah, Woodcreek beat Vintage 21-3. They are really awesome. Vintage is one of the bottom feeders in our league with Armijo and Rodriguez. And hey, Nevada Union has really been a powerhouse these last few years. Napa has played Rocklin in the past and won. You are correct that top to bottom there is no comparison of the SFL and MEL. However...Napa, Vacaville and Wood can compete with those teams in the SFL.
I think both of these dudes are kids
Dan, I know you have been on these boards for quite a long time. I was here as Napa Injun a while back, but took a break because of posters like this guy. Some people refuse to look at a body of work of a team, and make knee jerk posts just to stir things up. Your Bulldogs have taken on a tough preseason and will be battle tested come league and playoffs.
I don't understand the difference between a stadium that is shared or a stadium on school grounds. Actually, Memorial is literally a two minute walk from Napa High, and WAS Napa's stadium until the school up the street was built. This guys is ridiculed on other posts as well and is just some dad/former player who can't put things into perspective.
You and I both know our top three teams can compete with anyone.
Specially Wood this year, they will surprise a lot of people in the playoffs, they are a good candidate to win the MEL, to me its Napa and Wood for the MEL crown and Vacaville with some hopes too.
Lol! 42-7 and GB is "not that good!?"
What are you smoking!? You get smoked by the 3rd best team in our league AT YOUR HOME and then proceed to they they're not that good!?
You should feel lucky that a team like GB came down and played at your 1975 style school. LMFAO!
Lol Streak One can we get this guy off this message board? He doesn't want anyone on here who will post anything contrary to what he believes. Classic!
No disrespect to the other MEL teams, but I'm rooting for WCW to take the league crown. Their best season ever was 9-3 all the way back in 1996. They've rarely won as many as 7 games in a season since and they are already more than half way to that mark after last night's win. I'm rolling with the underdog!
Wood is outstanding, Vaca is down. See the correlation there? There was a very popular youth coach who started coaching at Wood 4 years ago, 95% of his players decided to follow him there, other top players from other youth leagues saw and followed. Those players historically won their league and post season for the past decade at every level they played. They are now seniors and will most likely continue their success and win MEL. Vacaville seems to have the least amount of senior starters ever so I would say it's safe to say Woods enrollment for class of 2016 has contributed to vacavilles down turn. For Wood to not win MEL would be an embarrassment to the program. I predict they run the table in MEL FOLLOWED BY Napa in 2nd and Vacaville fighting to get third.Coach Pop will right the ship, he usually does --- if not, then he just doesn't have the Jimmy and Joes -- happens in high school, doesn't make him or his staff any less, but they do work hard!
