Waaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrriors

I mean for godsake Draymond, Klay and Steph are all under 34…….realistically they all have 3-4 good years left. With medical technology the way it is, Curry might have 10 good years left.

doggg stop. 10 years?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

I would say 2 years max at his current level then another 3 years playing off the ball/spot up shooter.

if Chris Paul is still playing at a high level at his age, I give a much better conditioned Steph more then 2 years before he’s just a situational spot up shooter

I would not doubt it. And they have to start playing Poole more to groom him for Steph's role so that would only help extend Steph's career.

Lost in all of this is Lacob. One can make the point that half to two-thirds of the NBA owners do not want to spend (go into tax, much less pay repeater tax). (Enter your fanbase here) want an owner/ownership group that spends and Lacob & Company have shown that. The Warriors isnt even Lacob's primary money, unlike the Lakers. This is all the Busses have. They are so "rich" they even filed for PPP loans!

I dont expect Lacob to keep up with this spending unless year over year they are making it to WCF and beyond. The math right now says, Green and Thompson deals are up soon and they are going probably be asked to take a hometown discount.

Thompson already has made a ton so I looking for a max deal probably isnt his priority.

Green, I have a hunch may retire as his media success likely will pay him more than he would get by still playing on Warriors. Barkley is retiring soon so slide Green right into that TNT set.

I dont think they'll retain Wiggins because thats why Kuminga is there. They'll keep Poole as a likely trade piece down the road. Next year they are hoping for a healthy, flash signs of improvement from Wiseman. Moody will have more minutes because Lee and Payton are likely gone and Iguodala is retiring.

If Klay takes a pay cut and Draymond retires, we should resign Wiggins. Wiggins, Kuminga and Moody would be a defensive nightmare for the league. and if we can keep Payton, OMG....

Don’t forget they are sitting on a gold mine called The Chase Center. 100% privately funded by Lacob and partners. That mortgage should be paid in full in no time. Just look at Oracle Park. Paid in full ahead of schedule and now $$$ just flowing.

Wiggins is unrestricted after '23 season. Green has player option after '23 season. Klay unrestricted after '24. Going to be real here and tell you Wiggins who is in his prime is not taking a discount. He will go to whoever gives him that 4 year max.

Thompson and Green know their place in Warriors lore. I dont think it is important to them that they only wear one uniform for their entire careers.

Green however I think he knows his whole experience works just here. Everybody from upper management to the last guy on bench accept him and his personality and he knows his role on this team. For him to try to recreate that elsewhere is just asking for disappointment. Fans will turn on him, new teammates will turn on him, new coaches will sour on his act. He knows this. This why I really think hes going to retire which should be end of his prime. Hes clearly in decline. Media career is right there waiting.

Everything is hypothetical. If they all really want to be here, I'm sure the Warriors will get creative and figure it out...for example load Wiggins new salary on the back end of his contract, Curry and Klay taking pay cuts, sell a portion of the team to finance the tax bill, increase club level prices, extend/increase price for "Chase" naming rights, etc etc.

the buss family arent hurting for money. filing for ppp loans is how the rich stay rich. they own damn near all of several streets of property and parking lots in DTLA. Donald Sterling and Jerry do quite well in real estate

If they were doing so well then they should've re-signed Caruso. Ultimately it is JEANIE BEAN's decision and she decided to save some money.
