Mitty 70 Presentation 21
Pres covered the spread, but that's 42 straight league losses for the Panthers

St Francis 51 Valley Christian 39
Closer than the final indicated. VC led late into the 3Q. Maia Jimenez was the difference for the Lancers who are now 17-4. Big one at Riordan on Friday.

SI 69 SHC 40
Hard times for the Irish who drop their 7th in a row. Next up is Presentation, so something has to give.

Does anyone have insight on what is going on with SHC? Started off well and then just stopped winning all together

You're right. If SHC doesn't qualify for CCS open, they'd play in D3 based on enrollment. That would not be pretty.

Something has happened to the girls volleyball and basketball programs where they arent getting the 2-3 bonafide D1 players that make them middle of the pack in Open. SI and Riordan now are getting these caliber level girls. But yah, it is what it is.

SHC has had a set back with injury to their PG, happened vs Riordan in 1st qtr. Having played together since 4th grade, the tandem of PG and Wing puts team in a disadvantage offensively and defensively. So far it looks like there is no back plan with that void.

There's nothing stopping them from regaining Powerhouse status. Irish need work in basketball (the whole program on both sides needs to be revamped), and SHC was 25-5 on the Frosh Volleyball level. The JV's were 24-3.

Oh, and guess who is in the Open?
