WCAL Scores 1/7

Pretty serious beatdown! Don't recall too many WCAL games so one-sided.
They beat the Irish by 46 points last year. I think this team is even better with so many returning from last year. The Crusader defense will carry them, even if their shots are not hitting. Physical, fast, and long. They now go 11 deep with no significant drop off.

11 deep isnt working in 8 minute quarters.

Agreed. This year's team is leaps and bounds better than last year. The difference is mainly defensive tenacity. They press 4 long, fast, and athletic guys and let Emeneke sit back are dare you to challenge him. And they do this for all 32 minutes. Previous years you can pull your hair out watching how lazy they were. The attitude and effort has shifted immensely. Beating SH by the margin yesterday was not surprising. These two teams are not on the same level. 46 point win was actually taking the foot off the gas. It shouldve been much worse.

SI is the only WCAL team that will give Riordan anything close to a game and that still will be a 15-20 victory. Riordan's bench would finish in second in league. With all their transfers they are a different beast.

SHs tallest guys are a 6’7 sophomore and a 6’5 junior….those were the guys who matched up against Emeneke and got absolutely annihilated.

It’s funny NorCal and SoCal are essentially the same. Our top teams can kill it here, but come State Finals, they will have zero shot against whatever team comes out the south.

St Joseph’s should be in SoCal, but I would love to see a Riordan/St Joseph’s NorCal final.
