My intel tells me no connection at all. Just Taylor trying to step out of the area and get an out of state game. Sort of strange but who knows. One thing is for sure.... Oak Ridge lost there entire line and 80% of those kids are playing at the D1, D2, and JC level next year. We are talking about a top 3 line in Norcal last year. They have a lot of gaps to fill and this will be a huge void. Personally I think they struggle a little next year and wouldn't be surprised to see a 3-4th place type SFL ranking.

A step up in quality of non-conference teams. The Maxpreps ratings for last year for the three new teams are Elk Grove 17.30, Amador Valley 30.60, and Edison 26.40, versus the teams they replaced, Hughson 20.10, Tracy 23.20, and Lodi (1.00). These numbers are not infallible and are often not in sync with head-to-head results but they at least factor in strength of schedule.

One thing that changes in the W is rim protection. Perimeter defenders can play tighter because there are very tall women looking to block shots from guards who head to the rim.

Size matters, and Clark will find it more difficult to get off shots from both outside and inside. She will adjust, certainly, but it may take a season, or maybe two.

Oh, and she has to guard somebody too, which has never been a strong point.

She'll be fine. Early struggles I would imagine but her shooting skills will translate at any level.

DLS rolled, 6-0 over Dougherty Valley. Blair with a 2-run homer in the 1st. Could have been a lot worse, but Sparty left the sacks full in the 1st and 2nd innings.

I didn't even think about that...and on the rare occasion, they do allow transfers but they have to qualify just like every other "normal" student.

We still need two more teams for our tournament. We have added Eureka to the tournament. Every team made the NCS playoffs last year. Looking forward to having a competitive field. I know some coaches don't start their schedule until spring/summer so I will continue to reach out.

Call it a puff piece if ya want, but good article anyway from Hartford's newspaper.

Based on that story, it sounds like Aidan wants to be a part of UConn's shot at a historic 3-peat, even if he doesn't play a bunch of minutes. UConn is deep at guard and Aidan knows it.

Agreed. Fundamentally if you can't start in HS how the hell are you playing in college and you aren't playing at Mater Dei, SJB, or Bosco. We give way to much credit too coaches. Shaw was clueless but played the "part" well.
