Interesting information from the CIF article.

This year’s games feature 10 schools with State titles: De La Salle (7-8), Folsom (4-1), Grant (2-0), Marin Catholic (1-2), Mater Dei (3-0), Mission Viejo (1-0), Pleasant Valley (2-0), Serra (1-4), St. Bonaventure (2-0), and Strathmore (1-2).

Additionally, two schools return in search of their first State crown: Birmingham (0-1) and Central Valley Christian (0-2).

Los Gatos vs Central Valley Chr and St Vincent vs Wasco at Pasadena CC is interesting. Pasadena is 2hrs+ South of CVC/Wasco. Wasco and certainly Visalia are not in “SoCal” but I like the games in a see locations in a lineup. Was a great event to attend when the games were held at Sac St.

I see all these game listed to be shown on Spectrum. Is that CIFs effort have only about 1% of the state even able to watch these games, or am I missing something? I visited the Spectrum site, $65 a month and no “Free Trials” How can those of us with cable, YouTubeTV, etc able to watch, or is this just another disaster from CIF?

Weren't some or most of the games last year also on the NFHS network? Don't know if that will happen this year.

I saw on the graphic for the NorCal regional game that Palma was listed as 9-4. It seems the Maxpreps is not listing their forfeits.

Although it’s just window dressing, I think it’s important for the CIF to reinforce that forfeits are real losses, as it always has done. I hope the media guides and programs have this corrected.

That is what @Cal 14 was repeatedly stating if Clovis North was chosen to represent in NorCal.

I suspect there will be 2-3 upsets, but I do think that NorCal will win a majority of the games.

I’m already seeing tweets about “SoCal dominance”. Well, some casual fans may be in for a rude awakening. There will be claims of how the system is bad, but the reality is that one decision will have led to it.
