What are you going to do that everyone said couldn’t be done??? You have the most talent by a large margin in NorCal.MC!! MC!! MC!! MC!! MC!! MC!!
Davis, Oseya, Brown, Weary, Bernard, Cotton
Nah they are all homegrown in Modesto. Been at the school since kindergarten. LolWho else has that much D1 talent in Nor Cal? And big men from other continents, like there is 5 dudes 6’6- 6’10 and 2 D1 guards what would be stopping this team in NorCal?
Exactly. They were struggling early with a big time roster and 4 star recruit in Phillips. Best thing to happen was parting of ways. Team chemistry is excellent now.MC was definitely the favorite in NorCal before the season started... But then things took a bad turn, chemistry was not good, then Jamari left... So MC was out of the spotlight for awhile.
But they've turned it around and they sure are the NorCal favorite now, and have a real shot at anything SoCal sends up to Golden 1.
Win the Open is the goal!! Last Northern California team to do so was O'Dowd. What are you going to do that everyone said couldn’t be done??? You have the most talent by a large margin in NorCal.
Cotton really filled a hole, but Jalen Brown mixed with BJ Davis makes for a tough match-up. Manese by the way lives with the Philips. Weary makes us MUCH better. Oseya keeps improving to Major D1 options. Smith would have been great, no doubt. This team after hearing about Jamari and Manase leaving, said we will win state anyway! This is a team of talented players who have Moxy, grit, determination and belief. This is a special team. BJ Davis is now in the conversation of the top 5 greatest players in Crusader history. so much Chemistry and Trust. As BJ would yell after making a shot....Let's GO!!!Talking to one of the players dads at Golden 1 Center Saturday, they actually lost much more this year. Jamari has got all the publicity, rightfully so, but they lost their starting PG Darius Smith who at one point had three division 1 offers as a sophomore, battled injuries but got hurt again this year, Mana a starter from last year who is focusing on football and Cody Weary (eligible now) who is starting.
Smith
Phillips
Weary
Mana
Those four might have pushed to be a top 5 team in Northern California. Impressive either way to lose that much and keep it rolling. Hoping to see a MC Vs DV final!
