WCAL 2024-25 SEASON

Bellarmine and SRV were CIF runner ups when they played Mack. And Mack beat Manteca for the NorCal title. Yes. although the majority of those Riordan D1 recruits are underclassmen 6 juniors, 5 sophs and 1 freshman.
Very true but Mack always had the speed advantage on those teams like they did against MC, they lose that advantage over Riordan and they huge size and depth deficit to Riordan

NCP Pick'em Week 3 Games

MC has always had a solid stable at QB, RB and OL. Are the 'Cats just a young squad? A family member goes to MC so always rooting for them. Good luck!
The QB when has no pressure can spin it, but he has Jimmy G legs so (MC benched him for the playoffs last year and put in a mobile QB and you saw that results) second any pressure comes he takes huge sacks or throws picks, the OL has injuries right now they were down 3 starters last week mid way through the game, after Charles Williams graduated they have zero in the RB department

What I think happens after they get smacked up again by teams blitzing them is they bring their D1 WR to Braden Dixon-Bacich to play QB so they have a runner back there and they will improve as the season goes on like they did last year when they made a similar switch, their special teams is terrible and was last year so that won’t change…….their defense will be solid at least

SM is going to obliterate MC, this is MC worst team in the Mozi era, they have not a single player on offense with speed and their QB is so bad, the second he senses any pressure he becomes one of the worst QBs in Northern California….the offensive line so down like 2-3 starters, their special teams are especially bad……their defense is tough but can’t contain SM too long when their offense and ST puts them in bad spots……this MC team is a 5-5 team and will only beat Tam in non league was surprised they didn’t work the transfer portal and bring in a RB with some speed

Was hoping to see Marin Catholic vs St Mary’s Stockton on this this week’s pick’em. Calpreps projects a 14-13 game. Unfortunately, I’m still out of the country and won’t make it to the game. Doesn’t help that my internet connection on the cruise ship is terrible. Connected currently on land via phone network in Messina (Sicily), Italy, where it’s 11:07am. Bonjourno!

WCAL 2024-25 SEASON

The week 1 analysis of Riordan after the Mack game checks my suspicions of them which is offensively they are tremendous. They are going to win games by outscoring you. Mack ran for over 200 yards rushing. That says to me 1) not interested in playing defense and 2) you may put up 30+ points but we are going to put up 40. This is not going to work against Serra and St. Francis, the teams you are trying to get over.

But who cares!? Because the purple and gold only "do it for the gram" and post flashy offensive highlights!
i hope i dont get banned for pointing this out but in order to win a game you have to outscore your opponent. so thats everybody's gameplan. the only exception is ygnacio valley obviously they have a different plan. loL.!

Ricky Pearsall shot during robbery attempt

Yeah hard to ignore how far the great city of sf has fallen.
What an embarrasment to the Village of Tracy that one of its turds slides into SF, pulled an Abbot & Costello robbery, panics, shoots his uncooperative victim then shoots himself, trips over his saggy pants, drops his gun and loses his shoes in the process while trying to flee at walking speed.

PCAL Week 2

i hope i don't get banned for asking -but, how is salinas looking this year in terms of numbers and size?
I would imagine they sport one of the larger rosters in CCS. They have a top 5 enrollment in CCS and one of the bettter programs so numbers will never be down for them. For team size they are usually above average. They have a handful of big boys but overall the size isn't overwhelming by any means. I recall their JV team last year having some big kids.

Nor Cal Bigs

Following Prolific's above post, take a look at lists of D1 and NBA players from places like Oak Hill and Montverde, especially Oak Hill, since it's been around in the national scene for well over 50 years.

Have a look at Oak Hill's gym wall display...

While preps aren't the answer for every top prospect, they have been the best avenue for a lot of guys.

I think there is plenty of room on the hoops landscape for both national preps and standard high schools.
