From what I've seen so far, league play will be more competitive and entertaining than in the past several years.

Mitty, as always, is relentless and its depth gives it an edge. But VC has the size and strength to compete. SI is not quite as big, but it is highly athletic and already knocked off Pinewood. And St. Francis has a senior-laden team of athletes that has at least a puncher's chance against the others. I would watch any matchup among those four.

I don't see how Presentation wins a league game unless there are some transfers waiting in the wings. And while SHCP should beat Pres easily, it'll have a tough time stealing a win against the others.

SM growing pains....

Is St Marys missing TG? The guy had a huge ego no doubt, but he always seemed to be toughest on his top players and was never "star struck" by them. The rams seem to be losing the tough games and it looks like the young sophomore goes unchecked and never comes out of the game. She's special no doubt, but if the star gets favored and the team feels it, the chemistry will never flourish.

great story 5-3 guard, small school but found a place to play!

Tierra Snipes is a powerful force for Edison

Edison-Stockton 2022 post Tierra Snipes was one of the standout player from the St. Mary’s MLK Showcase this past week. In a win over previously ranked Rodriguez, Snipes finished with 26 points and 17 rebounds.

Snipes, a San Francisco State commit, went 11-for-20 from the field with 10 of her makes coming in the paint. She found success on offensive rebound putbacks (seven offensive rebounds in total) and winning off the dribble from the free throw line extended area. Snipes showed a good positional handle with touch around the basket. She also delivered a couple of nice passes to open teammates. She worked hard to gain early position as a post scorer and a rebounder and has good hands in corralling the ball.

Also at the event, Edison beat Whitney 52-41 and has five in a row en route to a 12-3 record.

Rocklin vs. Folsom, now what.

My original post.

A little bit of homerism/machismo but
I the matchup again will come down to lineplay and physicality. I'm hearing Folsom has a lineman out and are moving pieces around, specifically moving a vet guard to replace center starkey. Obviously backfilling a guard position. This could be significant...

Rocklin has a great dline, physical very, very physical. With Carter at Q, I expect to see him take off quite a bit, it kinda there base run game anyways. Rocklin will most likely dance with Dougherty between number of downlineman they use. Example DLS ran 3, played coverage everywhere.

Rocklin isn't DLS but if they can get away with 3 and still get pressure, it could be closer than some think. Both teams are extremely well coached except Folsoms defense is not. 🤣

Folsom wont change anything on offense I suspect, wont punt, etc, why should they...they own the SFL and typically have starters resting after the 3rd qtr.

BUT This week feels different...

1. Folsom just took a major step back after losing again to DLS. That has to sting, if not embarrass some of their nationally recruited mercenaries, if not to beat De La, what the hell is the point.

2. They lost their starting QB, QB2 looks really good but unlike Thunder this is really his first varsity start. A few mistakes can change this game throwing in the no fly zone.

3. Folsom wanted no part of rocklin last year, and that weakness (fear) still lingers in tha air and will be pretty heavy come homecoming night.

4. Without getting to heavy into the film, Folsom is soft, and there defense is poorly coached. They rely on superior athletes and hey, who wouldn't.

For Thunder Its - dont lose the game in the 1st qtr, make their starters play 4, and as physical teams go, exert your will on them till 00.00.

If Folsom score 30, it's over I'm afraid. But this is a straight Arkham Asylum defense, joker mentality everywhere, if the discipline is there, I dont think we will see a high scoring game.

So now what, what does this mean for Folsom and the playoff picture, division seeding etc.
