That's what I like about DLS ... they are willing to challenge themselves playing teams like Colquitt County... thanks for keeping me updated... hope they schedule a beast next year!
Colquitt will scrimmage a very athletic (10-2) Coffee Trojan team on August 11. They will also face a very good (13-1) Mill Creek team in the 2016 Corky Kell Classic on August 20 in the Georgia Dome. League games against (5-5) Tift County, (6-5) Lowndes and (10-2) Camden County are set and so are the non-league games against (8-4) Valdosta and (4-6) Brookwood. A very physical (8-4) Tucker team is also in the mix. Colquitt County is also in talks with a few out of state opponents to help fill the last four slots. I'm hoping DLS is one of them as it would be broadcast on ESPN. With that being said, I will give you their OOS schedule as soon as I here something out this way. CT4L

Others who are likely to sign on Feb. 3 are defensive back Rakeem Hightower, linebacker Akivie Bailey, center Daniel Brinson and guard Noah Moore.
Several other Packers could land at Morehouse, Clark-Atlanta or Savannah State. Propst continues to be perplexed that players from a program that has put 15-0 seasons back-to-back in Georgia’s highest classification have not drawn more interest.
“I am a little surprised that we haven’t been more recruited than we are,” he said. “I’m appreciative that people think that I’m that good a football coach, but we have some good football players here.”
Propst said his staff, Colquitt County High teachers and the players themselves have worked harder this year to make sure eligibility requirements are met.
“I am very, very pleased with the academic progress our kids have made,” Propst said. “We push them. But the teachers have to stay with them too.”
Propst said Colquitt County geometry teacher Kimberly Cooper has been especially helpful in getting players ready to take the ACT.
Propst said the weeks leading up to National Signing Day are particularly hectic, but his year it has been even more difficult as he and Athletic Director Kevin Giddens attempt to put together a 2016 football schedule.
As of Tuesday, only six opponents are confirmed.
Colquitt will travel to Coffee for its scrimmage on Thursday, Aug. 11, and then will get ready to meet Mill Creek in the Corky Kell Classic on Saturday, Aug. 20, in the Georgia Dome.
The three Region 1-AAAAAA games against Tift County, Lowndes and Camden County are set, as are non-region games against Valdosta and Brookwood, Propst said.

Talks with several out-of-state teams continue, especially to fill a slot that would enable the Packers to play on ESPN.
Tucker also could be on the final schedule.
“But we’ve still got four spots up in the air,” Propst said, adding that 2014-2015 opponents Pelham and Crisp County are not being considered.
Bainbridge and Thomas County Central also were sought, but contracts could not be arranged.
Propst also said the annual football banquet has been tentatively set for Feb. 28. He is hopeful state and national championship rings will be ready by then.
Spring practice will begin either May 4 or May 5 and will run through May 20 or May 21. Three 7-on-7 tournaments are on the summer schedule.
