Josh Jackson - McDonalds All-American - Game winner highlights

joshmug.jpg

Congrats to Josh Jackson, Prolific Prep and Justin-Siena for being named to the prestigious McDonalds All-American Game. This is an important milestone for Josh and as the first ever representative from the Prolific Prep program.

Also congrats to Josh for hitting the game winning shot with 1.3 seconds left to beat Huntington Prep (WV) for the 3rd time this year. Down by two points, Josh did the miracle! Never met anyone as intense or competitive then Josh.

The movie Concussions

Just finished watching the movie and it was an eye opener for me having two boys that compete at a high level in football. One in college and one in highschool. They started at an early age in popwarner, but if I knew what I know now I would have let them play, but at a later age.
There have been alot more rules implemented in regards to spearing and hitting defenseless players which has helped in a way, but I would tend to see lineman having a tough time not getting helmet to helmet contact on a regular basis.
Just wanted to know thoughts on the movie if anyone has checked it out, and if you haven't, go see it.

Palo Alto HS is looking for a new Head Coach

Seems the program took a hit after Hansen retired, but also it seemed the underclass were down at the time as well. Has there been any change in the admin or demographics that may have impacted the program or is it more cycle related? The recent coach seemed okay and may have been a timing issue as far as not as much to work with and also Milpitas, Los Gatos and Wilcox seemed o have been in an up cycle during the last couple years (LG more two seasons ago).
