4-8-1: Eliminates the one-and-one for common fouls beginning with the seventh team foul in the half and establishes the bonus as two free throws awarded for a common foul beginning with the team’s fifth foul in each quarter and resets the fouls at the end of each quarter.

Rationale: Improves flow by providing an opportunity for teams to adjust their play by not carrying over fouls from quarters 1 and 3 to quarters 2 and 4 while significantly reducing the opportunity for correctable errors to occur. Minimizes risk of injury by eliminating the one-and-one and reducing opportunities for rough play during rebounding opportunities.

The 14th Annual Sheldon-Franklin Summer Jam is once again sold-out with 60 teams participating June 23-25 throughout Elk Grove.

The Sheldon-Franklin Summer Jam, established in 2008, is California’s premier summer high school basketball tournament. The annual 3-day event features 60 teams that participate in 4 pool play games on Friday and Saturday and are placed into one of 5 single-elimination tournaments on Sunday. At the conclusion of the tournament, a champion is crowned in the Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper divisions.

Riordan/Team Lillard 2025 SF Jasir Rencher has picked up offers from Illinois, UNLV and UC Santa Barbara.

2025 is shaping up to be a good group out of NorCal.

Vachini has a team high 25 hits this season.

Brown was an All-NorCal pick this past season. He was previously committd to Cal State San Marcos.

Weary, who started his prep career at Weston Ranch and played this past year at Modesto Christian, will play in the CCAA.

Campolindo beat College Park 5-0: Miles Clayton had a home run and four RBI and Graham Schlicht gave up two hits over six innings.

San Ramon Valley beat Foothill 3-2: Charles Reiland gave up two runs over seven innings and the Wolves got the win in the bottom of the eighth to advance in the EBAL Playoffs. Julian Cambra went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Granada beat California 8-5: Granada led 7-1 after two innings. Parker Warner had a home run, seven different players had a RBI and the staff combined to strike out 11 batters.

Pittsburg beat Liberty 2-1: Pittsburg's Josh Painter threw a complete game five hitter to out duel LIberty's David Roberts, who struck out 13 batters in his complete game effort.

San Marin beat Redwood 2-1: Sean McGrath struck out five batters in going the distance for San Marin, which got a home run from Anthony Scheppler. Rex Solle struck out nine batters for Redwood.

Tamalpais beat Marin Catholic 7-1: Tamalpais' Kaiden Dossa gave up one run in 6.2 innings with eight strikeouts. Miles Gensler and Charlie Blau each had two RBI.

Palo Alto offensive lineman Ikinasio Tupou (6-foot-6, 270 pounds) played left tackle and defensive end for the Vikings and projects as a tackle with good size and athleticism, power at the point of attack and the motor to finish off plays.

He has offers from Cal, Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Tennessee, BYU, Nevada, Colorado State and Utah State.

Tupou is ranked No. 11 in the 2024 NCP Rankings and No. 94 in the state.

Whitney beat Oak Ridge 6-3: Jonathan Vavak had a walk off three run homer in the ninth inning to clinch the SFL title for the Wildcats. On the mound, Oak Ridge's Jake Fields gave up three runs over six innings and Whitney's Jace Gillmore gave up three runs over 6.2 innings.
