Couple of NorCal guys have had good series for the Cardinals:

Tommy Troy (Los Gatos) has gone 11-for-17 with 10 RBI and seven runs scored in four games.

Malcolm Moore (McClatchy) has been starting as a freshman and in last night's win over Texas A&M, he went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.

Freshman Nick Dugan (St. Bernard's) pitched in two different games yesterday. He threw 3.2 innings of one run ball agaist Cal State Fullerton and then went 3.2 shutout innings against Texas A&M with six strikeouts in the nightcap.

Stoutenborough, who signed with Cal out of HS, went six innings and gave up four runs (none earned) with five strikeouts in Sunday's 20-5 win over Arkansas. He is now 4-0 on the season.

Looks like Ty Virgil is playing with Inderkum this month.

Riordan has added a few players this offseason, includng Sheldon 2026 OT Tommy Tofi and and Foothill-Pleasanton 2025 WR Chris Lawson.

He was the head coach for three seasons in turning around the program.

Both teams will start regional play tomorrow. Santa Clara's last winning season came in 2008 while Brad Sanfilippo has steadily built up San Jose State since taking over full time in June of 2018.
