The Pacific Union Financial Capitalists (P.U.F. Caps) is a summer baseball team that plays in the California Collegiate League (CCL). We are based out of the Bay Area and are currently looking for volunteers to house players for the summer (June 9-July 30). We are on the road quite often this summer, so we are looking at app. 35 nights in the Bay Area. The team is comprised of 2014 HS grads from all over the country- mainly the west coast. Arizona is the latest school to offer Cosumnes Oaks wide receiver LJ Reed. He is one of the most highly recruited players in the region for the 2015 class.

California offensive lineman Tyler Whisenhunt received his second off from Weber State. He was previously offered by Hawaii.

San Jose State has offered Foothill-Pleasanton defensive back Isaiah Langley, who has become a national recruit this spring.

Cal has offered San Leandro ATH Stephen Johnson III. He played quarterback for San Leandro last year. He is a name to possibly blow up this spring.

Duke has offered Campolindo 2015 tight end Tyler Petite. Duke has had success recruiting the region and the state over the last five years.

Stuart Hall 2015 shooting guard Armani Collins has been offered by Cal Poly. It is his first offer.

Originally from Wisconsin, De La Salle defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie was offered by Notre Dame on Tuesday.

Long Beach State was in the area to watch Grant 2014 power forward Cameron Oliver. He is one of the top unsigned players on the West Coast.

According to the schedule realeased, girls lacrosse will be a WCAL-sanctioned sport in the spring of 2014-15.


Four of the seven WCAL girls schools (Archbishop Mitty, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Saint Francis, St. Ignatius) are listed on the schedule, playing each other twice for a six-game league schedule.

The schedule also notes that a fifth school, Valley Christian, may also have girls lacrosse by the spring of 2015. If they joined the league, the schedule says it need to be adjusted.

Boys lacrosse came to the WCAL in 2010, with five of the eight boys schools (Mitty, SI, SF, Serra, Bellarmine) playing varsity and a sixth (SHC) playing JV.

Since 2010, SHC has added a Varsity team, and Riordan will be competing at the JV level in 2014 as a seventh team. The 2015 schedule has Riordan competing at the Varsity level, but not at the JV level.

Bishop O'Dowd 2015 power forward Ivan Rabb has cut his list. The schools, in no order, are Arizona, Cal, UCLA, Duke, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio State and USC.

Rabb hasn't officially eliminated any school though.

Inderkum quarterback CJ Spencer is visiting Fresno State this weekend, Trevor Horn reported. He is still committed to UC Davis

While at USC for the Trojans' junior event, Granite Bay linebacker Cameron Smith and Foothill-Pleasanton DB Isaiah Langley picked up USC offers.

Reports have USC possibly moving to the top of the list for Smith.
