Hello Everyone. Just wanted to get the word out there that our 7th annual Eastside Prep Coaches vs Cancer Classic is back for this upcoming season, December 27-29, 2018. It is a three-game guarantee and the entry fee is a very reasonable $400 for a top-tier tourney. We are about 60% filled at this time but still have open spots in both out Elite and Competitive divisions. It looks like Clay and staff are doing a great job in getting the WJC filled up fast, so I anticipate there will be plenty of schools left looking for a great Christmas tournament.
We have hosted teams from every section in California as well as schools from New York, Chicago, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, Washington and Canada in the past. Menlo Scool is again co-hosting.
The Coaches vs Cancer Classic is the inspiration of Eastside head coach Donovan Blythe, who is himself a cancer survivor. Through the tournament, he promotes preventative screening and donates proceeds to cancer charities and organizations.
