Pass to Early, he scores inside…. tied at 51, Serra ball, they call time out. 8.7 seconds left.

Next up, Central Catholic (4-6) vs. University of SF, who holds a 6-3 record.

My guess is that at least some of the Central Catholic players were busy playing football during CC’s early losses…. Well, probably not. CC football didn’t play quite as late as I thought they did.

University doing University things…. Fly around on D, move the ball REALLY well on offense, and some nice soft J’s. 10-5 University.

CC actually got into the lead for a moment, but a University 3-ball ended that…. 30-28 University at the half.

57-50 University, 3:52 left. CC has had many chances to pull closer, but hasn’t been able to get over the hump.

Lucas Lau great move, drives and scores…. fouled…. 3 point play the hard way

Maganya hits a 3, Lau hits a 2…. Maganya inside for 2…. Tied at 62. Lukewarm game has suddenly turned into a barnburner! 42.4 left, University ball.

Missed who, but University with a pair of FT’s…. then a steal by Jason Morris for a layup! 66-62 University…. CC shot missed, rebound University…. Foul, both FT’s good… and University takes a good one, 68-62.

Time for Campo vs. International-SF…

Campo comes in at 7-0, Int’l at 4-6.

If Int’l can play the way they did while beating Piedmont, they’ll be tough…. but that may have been their high-water mark.

Let’s have the Cougs flood ‘em with buckets…

Peyton Belf with the ol’ Coug trademark, he takes a charge!

Beld to Luke Devine for 2…. 2-0.

Devine recovers a loose ball, scores…. 4-0 Cougs.

Int’l using a zone press…

Jason Meisel scores forr In’tl///. 4-2.

Ren Marchetti drives, lefty layup…. 6-2. 4:22 left 1st q.

Beld hits Marchetti for a 3…. 9-2…

Marchetti midrange J,,, 11-4.

Marchetti steal, another midrange after going the length of the floor with it…. 13-4.

Marchetti scores AGAIN! He has 11 of the Cougs’ 15 points! 1:42 left 1st, 15-4.

Cougs force a 24-seconds call…. Can’t score, but they get another stop…. Try for last shot, pass to Gavin Rendle, nails a 3!! 18-4 Cougs.

Joe Revelos nails a Cougs 3, then he gets a loose ball, drives and scores! 23-4.

Terrific pass to Revelos…. hits a short J. 25-4.

Finally Int’l has something to smile about, steal and layup…. 25-6. 4:40 left in the half.

Great pass to Maguire for 2, then next time down he nails a 3…

Beld with a floater, and 1… he sinks that. 30-13.

Putback score for Jason Chau, 30-15…

Devine with a putback, 32-15.

Steal, pass to Devine, 34-15. 1:10 left in the half.

Chau scores again, Rex Pastore right back…. 36-17.

Last-second try be Int’l. nopw…. 36-17 at the half.

Putback score by Int’l…. Pastore fouled, sinks a pair…. 38-19.

Maesel scores, 38-21.

Cougs turnover…. Score by Will Savill- Welch…. 38-23.

Cougs turnover…. Getting a bit sloppy here.

Nice runner by Faiz Wada…. 38-25.

Revelos nails a 3! 41-25, 3:36 left 3rd.

Rendle nails a 3…. 44-25.

WOW!! What a pass, Luke Bonardi to Revelos…. 46-25.

Revelos nails a pull-up J to make it 50-28 Cougs after 3 quarters.

I will now drift into Red Auerbach “have a cigar” mode, ‘cept it’s Red Vines.

43-38 Redmond after 3 q’s. Been a funny game, no runs or streaks really…. Redmond gradually built this lead, 4 to 7 points, and it’s remained the same since.
