If both Alameda and Newark Memorial advance that might be a competitive game?

The winner of Foothill vs California will most likely play Castro Valley which could be a good game?

Liberty vs Heritage part 3 could be good should they both advance?

Liberty lost to Granada. No round three. For awhile it was looking like both boys and girls teams from Liberty and Heritage would be playing at Heritage in Friday night. The atmosphere would have been electric. Oh well.

I didn't see the game but just saw the final score. I guess it wasn't meant to be? And perhaps Granada and Heritage will be a good game.

Should be a good game. Granada beat Heritage the first game of the season. Heritage was missing 1 starter due to injury and another had just come back from an ankle injury and had one full practice under her belt.

There are two other games in D1 girls that should be highly entertaining to watch.

Pitt vs. Dublin: As long as guards from both teams are healthy it is strength vs. strength in this matchup. Pitt definitely has the advantage inside with their posts.

Berkeley vs. Logan: tough quarterfinal matchup for both teams...not sure how Logan dropped all the way to a 7 seed after winning their league but what's done is done. Only saw Berkeley play for one quarter this year so not sure how they are playing. Do they have anyone who can match up with Logan's post?

would love to be at both of these games!

Logan, Heritage, Granada and Dublin (x2) all lost to the young Campo team this year.

Seems like Campo who have had a chance to win D1 but will need an almost impossible run to win D3 since they will first have to face BOD who beat D1 #1 and 2 seed and then would face MM who has already beaten them twice this season.

So your coach did not get the memo that he could have petitioned out of d3 That would easily escaped the wrath of O'Dowd and Miramonte.

Campo would have had a better shot in D2 also.....either would have been better than the BOD/MM juggernaut.
The deepest division is 4.....but the top 2 in D3 are the toughest/best.

BOD and MM are both going to get pulled to open....so if Campo happens to lose to either...they will still get a high seed in Norcals. Much like the CN girls did last year when Salesian and SMB got pulled and CN got the #1 seed in Norcals.

In essence its a free shot for Campo....playing with house $....if they beat BOD/MM GREAT!! Congrats! It would be awesome for the program.....but if they lose? Oh well, they get a top 3 seed in norcals...and a chance at a state run in D3....

This train of thought is what is wrong with the playoff structure. It is more about maneuvering around and hoping a team gets pulled up to open up a path to a title. I don't know how you fix it, but it should be about challenging yourself and winning the highest title possible.

That is why the Campolindo and Cardinal newmans of the world better win this year because they could get pulled up next year
