34th Annual Newark Optimist Club - Newark Memorial Girls Holiday Basketball Classic - December 28-30, 2022

Attention Coaches! Registration is now underway for the 34th Annual Newark Optimist Club- Newark Memorial Girls Holiday Basketball Classic, to be held on December 28, 29, & 30, 2022 (Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday) at the Newark Memorial High School Event Center, 39375 Cedar Boulevard, Newark, CA.

We offer both a Varsity and JV Division. The entry fee is $425 / per team. Open until filled. Team, individual, and all-tournament awards will be presented. Coaches hospitality area available.

Varsity teams committed to date include Foothill, San Leandro, Santa Clara, Lynbrook, and Newark Memorial.

JV teams already in include Foothill, Irvington, San Leandro, and Newark Memorial.

Competition doesn't look too strong so any program looking for a pretty easy 1st place trophy while tuning up for a real tournament might want to look into this one.

You should look for a couple more schools that are serious contenders, in order to raise the profile of the tournament and make it easier to fill the field.
