Helping spread the word about the SteelMike 3on3 Tournament to be held at Menlo School on August 28th: https://www.chconline.org/steelmike/
Proceeds support the Michael Harris Fund at CHC to benefit adolescent mental health...we all know this is more important than ever during and post-covid!
Michael was a student-athlete at Menlo who embodied the very best attributes of fierce competitiveness but also selflessness, teamwork, and friendship.
He studied psychology, and eventually returned to Menlo as a School Counselor...and was tragically killed in a boating accident in 2015.
The event honors his memory, but also supports his passion: adolescent mental health.
Disclaimer: Menlo School hosts the event but it is managed by the Children's Health Council. This is not in any way a fund-raiser for the school or for our basketball program. Although as Menlo's head coach, I fully support the mission and the event, and would simply like to encourage local coaches and players to participate!
Registration is only $20 per player...and there are three divisions: Elite/Adult, Non-Competitive, and High School (https://give.chconline.org/event/steelmike-shootout-presented-by-chc/e411791)
Local coaches: please help spread the word to your players and your local pick-up partners...all are welcome!
Email bbatory@menloschool.org if I can help or answer questions. THANK YOU!
