All eyes in the state will be on San Jose Tuesday as its the MUCH awaited CLASH OF THE TITANS...

SMS(Ali) VS Mitty (Frazier)
Gonsalves(Dundee) VS Phillips(Futch)

SMS has the best starting 5 in the state (country?) while Mitty has the deepest team in the state (country?) and their starting 5 are pretty darn good also.

SMS has the reigning NATIONAL HS COACH OF THE YEAR Tom Gosalves
while Mitty has the US NATIONAL TEAM head coach Sue Phillips...

THE WINNER OF THIS GAME GOES ON TO WIN THE OPEN STATE TITLE.....

BATTLE ROYALE!!!! WOW WHAT A MATCHUP!!!



........meanwhile.....in other news....

just down the road about 17miles is a meaningless afterthought game....

the UNDERCARD....

CN(Chuck Wepner) VS PW(Leon Spinks)
2 schools with a COMBINED 500(?) girls....playing in a gym barely suited for a middle school.

neither team has a shot against the BIG TIME NATIONAL POWER PROGRAMS above...

no one expects CN/PW to win on Saturday....

I kinda see Mitty (Ali) and SMS(Frazier).

SMS is relentless and will try and soften an opponent with body blows until the weaken.
It will be interesting to see how Mitty(more experienced than last year) handles SMS press.

Mitty will stick and move the entire game, great ball movement will be key. All 5 girls on the floor are great passers.

Hopefully it lives up to the hype

I honestly think that's the best game plan defensely for SMS. Maybe throw the full court press in every once in awhile to throw Mitty off. Clovis West runs the same press, so Sue/Mitty should be well prepared to deal with it.
Sure wish we could be there to watch it go down, cause in my opinion, this is going to be the Nor Cal game of the season. Wishing both teams good luck!!!
