Great game / close competitive throughout. Wojcik is one of the purest shooters that I've ever seen at the high school level. Stubblefield is an excellent all-around player as well. Proud of the way that Riordan battled and kept it close despite a relatively quiet night by James Chun with Watida not feeling well. DeSean had a great night offensively and battled Stubby inside. The Bells JV team also won a nail biter by hitting a 3 point shot late and hanging on to win by 1.
Great night of basketball at the Forum despite going 0-2.
I honestly thought Riordan was going to get blown out the way they've played the past few games. Still the offense is not as dynamic and active with quick passing, moving, cutting and slashing to the hole as seen earlier-too much standing around and one-on-one dribbling. Agree Chun had been struggling with his overall play (ball handling, passes and outside shot in recent games. He went to his elbow distance j when his 3 shot was not falling and needs to go back to that to get his confidence back. Pleased with the Crusader defense and Curtin going deep in his bench and getting contributions from everyone. Sonnier, Ray and Ballingit were notables. I was wondering if something was up with Mukukula, b/c his game seemed off kilter. Great turnout from the Bells fans and a great game. Wojcik and #2 are very good.

Definitely a teaching moment as film don't lie.....several Crusaders caught flat footed / not blocking out. Coach Joey will emphasize this during film studies.....
