Heard author interviewed, Paul Brekke-Miesner, on 95/the Game and wanted to post a note here on his book..
Mack in the 50/60's had a stready stream of players moving on to MLB.. (as well as NBA)..
Back in the 50's, HS coaching legend, George Powles helped develop Oakland youth players as head coach of Mack baseball and basketball teams.
Jackie Jensen, Rickey Henderson, Dave Stewart, Tyson/Joe Ross, Bip Roberts, Frank Robinson, Curt Flood, Vada Pinson,Joe Morgan, Ernie Lombardi, Gary Pettis, Lloyd Moseby, and the list goes on..
